A lot of the mid-state hates PSU, always did. That's who he speaks to. PSU fans aren't buying the paper to read his garbage but PSU haters drink it up. That's the last holdout audience he has.

I saw Flounders walk into the stadium yesterday. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but having served as a member of the local media (not the Patriot) years ago dressing professionally was something we did in the field. Visor, shirt un-tucked, baggy pants.
Yeah, I saw that. However, I think at least 2, if not all 3, of the other RBs would have taken that run to the end zone. The hole was huge, and he ran through it. I haven’t seen much in his other runs that indicate to me that he’s a better runner than #’s 4, 21, or 28.
Honestly is JF trying to keep all the backs “happy”. Is he afraid of one or two of them going into the transfer portal in the offseason?
While I usually don't agree much with these two guys, I have to agree that Franklin is playing games. He knows who the best back is, but he is trying to keep them all happy so they don't enter the transfer portal. But that will cost us a game somewhere down the road if it continues. He needs to play the best players and if the lesser players want to leave through the transfer portal, let them.
But Georgia actually runs the ball more often then we do. This year those Swift is getting the bulk of the carries as he has nearly 50 more then his backup.
My son covers AHL hockey. For games he wears shirt, tie and khakis. For practices he wears a polo and khakis. He often attends NHL preseason training camps. He said you would not believe what some of the NHL beat writers wear to games. Very sloppy and unprofessional.
Does that surprise you on any level?
"Beat writer at NHL training camp" does not conjure up images of Brooks Brothers suits.
I would imagine the attire is comparable to the Keno lounge at Bally's.
Which seems like a place you may find Flounders.
QB’s and RB’s are like comparing apples and oranges. —Unless injuries occur, the QB’s are redshirting. None of the 4 backs are redshirting. —- Franklin’s model won’t definitively stop players from entering the portal.....nothing short of new NCAA rules will...But it should help minimize the number. —Rightly or wrongly, his model shows a good faith effort on his part for playing time, and creates solid depth. At some point , a choice will have to be made...... dictated by circumstance, not fans. JMO
Flounders is the king of the goons. He always looks like he just finished cutting the grass (certain to be a shiz job, missed spots, crooked rows, dead areas from spilled gas and what not). He looks like the night janitor at a low rent bar, dumping buckets of ice in the urinals.

There’s one very easy and very OBVIOUS solution.....install the wishbone so we can get three of our top four running backs in the game at the same time.
(Of course, CJF would probably have Cain on the sideline with him.....)

I may be in the minority, but I don't find Jones to be very weird at all.

7-0 and a fighting chance to be 8-0 this weekend. Seems to me the results speak for themselves. Franklin & staff have recruited a talented team and then they have got these guys playing pretty well with room to improve further.
Why they didn't run the ball much (with Cain or any other back), people will have to ask Franklin this week and maybe he'll answer. Michigan was certainly vulnerable to the run when they played Wisky.
But on the other hand PSU scored 28 on that defense which is more than anybody else has scored on that D except for Wisky which blew them out and scored 35.
I don't think people should have been that surprised that the Michigan offense is improving and Patterson is getting more comfortable in the Josh Gattis offense. They had put up 42 on Illinois which, as it turns out, is not that bad a football team.
I have a hunch Michigan is going to beat Notre Dame and this win Saturday won't look too bad.

That is one theory to where Jones “got his information”, but I’m not sure if it’s been specifically confirmed that Jones was told about the incident by Porn King Frank Fina via a pickup basketball game.
Anyway, what Jones was told about in the summer of 2010 was the 1998 incident, which was investigated at the time and determined by police and child services to be a non-issue. The fact that he immediately met Scott Paterno and told him that Joe covered it up was absolutely despicable, and its terrible no one other than John Ziegler has called Jones out for this.

My theory on this is that Jones and the other PennLies morons are trying to impress the media elites in DC, NY, and Philly, who mostly hate sports especially football.
They feel they could do that because of the general proximity Harrisburg is to those 3 cities.

You are pretty spot on. There is a political element to his attitude as well. Having had some interaction with Jones, he is among the most arrogant people you will meet. And I define arrogance as an overabundance of confidence relative to one’s merits or achievements. He believes himself to be one of the elite class and REALLY believes himself superior to the denizens of Central PA.
The political part of why he hates PSU goes all the way back to Paterno. He just could not grasp the fact Joe was a superior person to him by any measure. Not only was Joe wildly more successful in his chosen field than Jones, but he was better educated to boot. If Joe had chosen to be a journalist, given his communication skills, he certainly would not have been stuck at a bottom tier paper like the Patriot.
It bothered Jones that Joe gave him no deference. It bothered Jones that Joe’s values were never the “right” values. He was always looking for a way to pull Joe down, because small, little men like Jones can never accept there are men of principle in the world. Very much like Pitt fans, they can’t believe anything can be achieved without cheating or cutting corners. PSU’s embrace of such a man made it complicit in his eyes and the refusal of their hayseed fans to lay down and accept the media’s judgement regarding the school’s “sins” has just made Jones angrier and more bitter.
You really have no idea why he’s using all four. You’re guessing he’s trying to keep them out of the portal, but he hasn’t really kept anyone else out of the portal.
It does one good thing for him. It covers part of his face.
