1) Lavert Hill. Excellent player but PSU ended up with pretty comparable talent at corner. Would he have been better than Reid, Oruwariye and Castro-Fields?
2) Dioubate -- 4 star, definitely hurt to lose him at the time. But in 3 years at Temple he has 1 sack and 1.5 tfl.
3) Pryts -- another good player but PSU has not lacked for safety talent -- might not have started.
4) Nordin. PSU has struggled at kicker for sure but Nordin wouldn't have been the answer. He has lost the starting job at Michigan and is basically a wasted scholarship at this point. He did manage to make himself a distraction for the team with his selfish antics, so there's that.
5) Christian Colon -- in junior college now. Probably wouldn't have been good enough to play.
6) Dwumfour -- Really the only one in the group that PSU could have used. Might be starting but would at least be part of the DT rotation.

Lavert Hill is a corner.

Vert Hill is a Defensive Back.

EDIT: very strange. Looking at the quote, it shows you corrected it to corner. But your original post still reads receiver.

All in all, I agree. Dwumfour hurt because he's decent, but not great, a plays in a position of need. Hurt more because of the flip, timing and message it sent in jumping to Michigan as soon as they offered.
Pryts hurt because he was a decent talent and a legacy commit who backed away. Again, the message.

Colon was a dropped due to off the field issues, ended up at Colorado State where, you guessed it, he got dropped due to off the field issues.

Missing from the list is Aaron Matthews who left for Pitt because they'd let him play WR

I just recently cancelled my Premium Board membership because of my “impatience” in waiting for Phil to give us “The Real Story” of the Henne recruitment. ;)

For those still paying, please let me know when the story hits. For those wondering how to cancel your premium membership, the only way is to call your credit card company and decline payment on your annual renewal. After 6 months trying to do it through the links available on the Rivals/Yahoo site, I just pulled the plug on them via my payment mechanism. They contacted me within hours of the credit card payment being declined. Now, that is customer service!
END RANT!
