"Did he get it? NOOOO HE DIDNT GET IT!!!"

Does anyone have a copy of the Jones and Ham call from the fourth down stop?

Gus's call for that Barkley TD was fantastic. His energy was fun to listen to.

I never listen to or watch any games on FS1...had no idea I was missing out on Gus. He was great.

All I can here over and over again is "Welcome back...to Camelot!!!"

...the only call that puzzled me was when he suggested that on the last play of the game McSorley should get the ball and run back into the end zone! That could have been a disaster if he were tackled in the end zone and fumbled the ball away. Of course Mc Sorley did the right thing and gave up the play by going down in the field of play... perfect ending.

Agree androcles -

That was an odd suggestion from the booth.

With 3 seconds left, don't hand off, don't take any chances. Get the ball to your running QB and have him float back and count to 3.
Ball Game Over!

They called the TO perfectly and ran the last play to protect McSorley, as he ran out the final 3 ticks on the old school room clock.

Some don't like Gus. I'm the opposite, I wish he could call every PSU game. I love his announcing. The guy in the both with him was great too.

I thought they were much better than we've had in a long time. That said, I can do without the apparent mandatory references he had to the 'sexual abuse scandal'.

It was maybe the first time since Keith Jackson that a play by play, national broadcaster, was not anti PSU. I love Gus.

He could have run out of the end zone, give up the safety and end the game but it wasn't necessary with only 3 seconds. My worry on that play was the high snap potential.

I thought the broadcast was one of the best I ever heard. k8nd of refeshishing from the ESPN crews.

He runs out of that end zone and a whole bunch of people at the MGM Grand in Vegas would be screaming their asses off, lmao.
