Another team point was deducted for the Nebraska dual. How many team points have they lost this year, and is it a record? Just curious.

What for this time?

There was some bad words and/or a slight tussle at the end of the 285 match. Looked like Stoll kind of slapped the Wisconsin wrestler with his headgear. I see that Wisconsin lost a team point (and ended up with a total of 2). Didn't know Iowa was penalized. But it appeared that both guys were involved and at fault.

If you can access FLO, you can watch the whole dual here. The controversy was generated right at the very end of the last match.

Hillger rode Stoll for the entire 3rd period to win 1-0. They shook hands. Then Hillger kind of pushed/slapped Stoll on the shoulder. As Stoll walked off, he threw his headgear at Hillger. Might have been precipitated by words exchanged, but you really can't hear anything over the crowd noise.

Hillger got annoyed that Stoll cut him off to walk off the mat and shoved him. Stoll then turned around and threw his head gear at him.

This. I’d put slightly more fault on Hillger. But both appropriately penalized.
Not the first time Stoll cut someone off like that. Did it to Nevills once and when Nick continued anyway, gave him a little extra business for it.

The inmates are running the asylum. The constant lack of discipline is going to start impacting recruiting. Tom better address this or Iowa issues will continue.

Alpha male exerting dominance. Didn't see anything horrible, so either the words were problematic, or throwing the head gear. Honestly...didn't see anything else. And agree with others...if Hillger had a part to play, and it exceeded the ref's rule knowledge, hit them both.

They set a record for the easiest schedule of the decade
Their schedule isn't terribly different from ours.

Pokes cancel Bucks, and probably a more complete top to bottom lineup.
ISU cancels ASU.
Lehigh and Kent St on both schedules.
Minny < Michigan.
Princeton > anybody else on our nonconference schedule
Scuffle and Midlands equivalent.

They did not have a second Open, though most of our guys weren't challenged at Keystone. Let's call that equivalent to Bakersfield.

Speaking of records.......Anyone know if this is the longest drought in NC team trophies for Iowa since the 70s, when wrestling ReAllY BeGaIn?

Well, I am just gonna disagree with you from a conference standpoint. Iowa’s conf skedule was reallly lame

Cut the guy off and give him a little elbow to show him you're a mean boy. As if piling up 0 points on the fool didn't let him know how hard you are.

Agreed. Looked like ticky-tac stuff. There was one other minor event at the very start when you look at the video very closely. Stoll tossed his ankle ID at the feet of the other guy. It sure looked like he tossed it there intentionally. Just another minor thing in a string of stuff which amounts to much adieu about not very much.

On the positive side, no issues at all from Desanto.

Breaking it down:
Stoll throws his ankle band directly at Thor's foot.
Hillger begins to walk over to shake hands with the Iowa corner.
Stoll quickly moves to an intercept course and gives a little bit of elbow (Hey! Those are my coaches buddy.)
Hillger doesn't have his hammer, so he settles for a one handed shove in Stoll's ample back.
Stoll flips his headgear back at Hillger.
The referee decisively breaks it up before Stoll can throw his singlet.
The wrestling world is happy that they have something to tsk at.

Hard to say if intentional but if so, wouldn't be the first time.

I saw a discussion about this over on HR. Was tempted to create a new username to join in but damn things are getting nasty over there. The Stoll and tOSU threads in particular.
You are still posting there. Who are you trying to fool?
