Kuhn is graduating and the other guys who wrested before him looked like they were not all that talented unfortunately. Thanks. Suriano leaving left them in a bind at that class. psykim

PSU hopefully solves 125-133 (and perhaps 141) next year as Brody Teske (4 time IA state champ), Gavin Teasdale (4 time PA state champ) and Roman Bravo Young (4 time AZ state champ) come to State College next year. Adam Busiello (4 time NY State champ) comes in the year after. Cael is really concentrating on getting the lightweight situation squared away.

There is not much room for recovery when kids don't pan out or stuff happens. The lightweights are a prime example.

We thought 125 was locked down with Nick S.

We thought we had 133 filled with Cortez.

You have a plan, and when stuff happens (transfers & injuries) it is tough to recover. You cannot pluck a kid from campus at any weight and just keep going. Look at 157 too. We don't have an answer to a long term Nolf outage. Nor at 165 or 174. That middle weight range is very thin, because we cannot afford to bring in a lot of top end talent, nor do they want to sit in that range for a few years.

Cael is not only loading up the light weights, but he is doing a tremendous job across the weights in restocking the talent. We lose Kuhn/Keener/Zain this year, but add Beard, RBY, JLee, Snacks, Teasdale, Teske, and have Brooks skipping a year. How does he do it? (Insert obligatory slush fund comment for HR)

The light weights may not be a strength next year, but it won't be a weakness, and will have talent to develop.

Penn State will be covered at 125 and 133 next year. Whether it is Teske/Teasdale, Teske/Bravo-Young, Teasdale/Bravo-Young, we'll be in good hands.

Just curious why you keep asking the same question over and over again. This is at least the 3rd time I have seen the same question from you. Are you not satisfied with the answer for some reason?

So you can see the fututre as States have not happened yet. Gavin is a (3) time State champ and will need to win his 4th. I know what you meant tho and if monopoly money counted I would bet it all on him.

How many times do you expect us to answer, that you keep asking?

Hint: check the pinned threads. You know they exist, because you asked this question on one of them last week.

Yes. I wonder how 141-149 falls. Could Nick bump to 149...or is that Verkleeren? I'm sure there will be some RS's to manage in there somewhere.

I wonder if Nick needs another year in the weight room to be a bigger 141. He has been great, but he appears, to me, to be an undersized 141 which makes his accomplishments all the more impressive.

I think I'd rather see him at 141, but I don't know as much as many of you on this board when it comes to these things.

Alzheimer’s?
We’re being used as a psychology study?
We’re being punk’d?
Turrets?

The multiple Nick Lee concerns too me seem a bit much. Nick Megaludis came out of his first Big10 tournament carrying a 5th or 6th place medal.

Back then I was convinced Nico had not signed off just yet on his signature freshman victory. I have the same feeling about Nick Lee.

Don't forget Berge at 149. I realize the board seems to expect Verk (who has earned the praise), but I think Berge will be the man.

Starting next year I'd assume Manville or Joe Lee could fill in 65 or 74.

Agreed most of his losses were very close and he could have pulled them out. McKenna is probably the biggest example, only Yanni worked him. I definitely think he needs more strength for next year that much is clear

NoVa, I believe the inference was in case Cenzo or Mark couldn't go, they would have someone with talent to fill in.

Lee is slender and has room to fill out, but he's very tall. If he puts on a lot of muscle I doubt he can make 141 any more. A while back, some were projecting Lee to only have 1 year at 141 and then move up to 149. With Verk and Berge there (if Berge can make it down to 149), it's better for the team that Lee stays at 141. That could be a tough pull for him if he bulks up at all.

Say what? You think they are going to beat out Cenzo and Hall? I must have missed the smiley face.

No not at all....was simply saying they could fill in depth wise in case of injury. Sorry for the confusion. Was responding to the comment that we don't have an answer for an outage at 57, 65, or 74. Was trying to say we have some depth, but all of this studs are irreplaceable IMO.

What does this have to do with forgetfulness (winky face)

Next year PSU will score so many points between 157-285 Six finalists? Plus Lee top 6 at 141. Any point sat 125,133, or 149 will be gravy. It is good to be the king.

Deuce Bigalow
Never saw it, so it may have been used in more than one place. The one I was thinking of was from an episode of LA Law. Guy with Tourettes was being cross-examined by a woman defense attorney. First question she asks, he comes out with it.

Sorry for the obscurity. For some reason I've never forgotten that 25 years later.
