I don’t think anyone who watched him play is really impressed. Watching McSorley was a bit different. Numbers only tell a part of the story.Precisely my point which is why I'm not impressed with hackenebergs "record breaking stats"

Good in the pocket...even comfortable, something we haven't had for a while. Big and not afraid another plus....I'm excited to see what he, the incoming (RBs, in addition to a healthy Cain and situationally-focused Lee), and the incoming WRs....it may be more growing up next year, but that's fine.I see Kirtland D-5 Ohio won again, now 53 straight wins .The longest winning streak in the country I will be watching HC. Tiger LaVerde and his team today.
You mean the guy that broke several psu passing records?Wow. If he can throw a simple screen pass or wide reciever slant and put it on someone's body, he is already a far better QB than Hack.
Yes, I do, and read the thread to see why. Hacks passing records mean nothing. Would you want him back? You mean the guy that broke several psu passing records?
Yes. He’s much better than Sean CliffordYes, I do, and read the thread to see why. Hacks passing records mean nothing. Would you want him back?
Na. The guy who went 7-6, 7-5, and 7-6.You mean the guy that broke several psu passing records?
No he isn't, empirically, by any rational logic or nebulous "eye test". You have clearly forgotten. And for a guy so focused on stats.....CLiffords are better.Yes. He’s much better than Sean Clifford
I usually respect your observations, but you’re WAY OFF on this one.Yes. He’s much better than Sean Clifford
To drive home the point, Martinez at Nebraska i just heard, will have all QB records at Nebraska after today. I dont think he has won a big game in his life.I usually respect your observations, but you’re WAY OFF on this one.
In the game I saw Allar looked poised, went through his progressions, and took what the defense gave him. Of course that's against high school defenders but he looked good. Analysts have him rated high for a reason. We'll see if this kid actually ends up coming. But wherever he ends up, I am sorry to say that he looks super slow in every piece of film I have seen. Couple that with a wonky scheme and poor line, and it's questionable whether he would be a great fit.
He certainly seems to be bigger than most of the other kids on the field, so it will be interesting to see how his game translates to the next level, where defensive ends and linebackers are faster than anything he has ever seen. He might be a player who needs a top notch line in front of him to excel. In the game I saw Allar looked poised, went through his progressions, and took what the defense gave him. Veilleux isn't fast but he was able to move around in the pocket and run when needed. In the one game I watched Allar
I hate the fact that private schools are integrated into state playoffs. Let them have their own championship series. There is no comparison between a defined school district and open enrollment that extends far beyond the boundaries a school ordinarily has. It is complete crap.
St Ignatious has dorms for out of state playersReminds me of Hoban in Akron, OH. I think they won the div II state champ 5 out of 6 years in football. They had kids going to school there from Youngstown. Which is not a short drive. Which yeah, 100% not the same as being confined by the boundaries of a school district and only pulling kids from those borders. Private schools have typically pulled more athletic talent.
Watched Kirtland win # 54 last night, as far as i know, Tiger doesn't recruit.St Ignatious has dorms for out of state players
Agreed. The difference is that they are not division 1 which is where the money is. When I was a kid many years ago the city of Massillon Ohio offered one of my teammates father a job so the kids would play for Massillon. Years later they got caught recruiting and disciplined. One of the lawyers fighting against the school was a coworkers neighbor. He had to move because he and his family were getting threatsWatched Kirtland win # 54 last night, as far as i know, Tiger doesn't recruit.
he'll fit in well here with our OL line.Slippery hips! From what I understand he’s under constant pressure due to the OL and no backs on backfield to pick up blitz. Notice how he always keeps his eyes down field. He can hit tight windows while moving around in the pocket or running.
