Football Drew Allar set to return to Penn State in 2025

Just stop already. We know your opinion. You believe he should go pro. No need to repeat it 1000 times in one thread. If you were truly a PSU fan, you would be happy and hope it turns out great for him. Quit dwelling on your tired take and move forward. The decision has been made so be happy for him and the team. It is his life, not your’s.
I'm selfishly happy...he made a bad decision which should be discussed. When his emotional maturity is bashed I'll defend him

I think it's only a bad decision if the OL is not as good and can't protect him. I just don't see Drew regressing and dropping out of the first round unless he is getting pressured like Hackenberg did. With a good pass protection and a strong running game next year there will be open receivers.

Here is your problem. What you state is your opinion. It is not some absolute fact.

You consistently neglect to identify stances that are just your opinion. And then try to batter the opinions of others with endless repeated statements.

If you make some New Years Resolutions, why don't you try for some humility?

Humility.... so lacking. Just the ability to say, "You know what, I was wrong." I try to teach that to kids every day. Just admit fault, do something to correct it, and move on.

There aren't open receivers this year though--isn't that our main concern

You can disagree with the "opinion" if you have a valid argument. The entire point is to debate things--otherwise there's no need to be here

When you have a super star you throw to him. Tyler developed into a superstar this year and doubled his catches from last year. There will be a someone else that makes a leap into the (go to guy) whether its a Luke or Denmark or hopefully a combination of other options. I still say the OL is more important, and would be the only reason his staying would be bad.

I don't know what the OL situation will be next year?

That's wishful thinking though. There's no guarantee of that regarding the receivers.

We aren't a pass happy offense and definitely won't be next year. He's not going to put up Cam Ward or Sheudur Sanders numbers. That's not what this offense will look like. I'm confident with the line and we'll win 10+ games again. I just don't see anything adding value to his stock. Especially with next year's QB class being superior. It's a risk...his risk to make so hopefully it works out for him

Well said, Roy. I’ll just add that people are allowed to value things differently. A lot of people seem to assume that the right decision is always the one that brings in more $.

Maybe he really wants to finish his degree because that’s a goal he wants to accomplish.

Maybe he really loves college life.

Maybe he’s confident in his ability to make a good living outside of football if for some reason he’s unable to make it big in the NFL.

Not to mention a good argument can be made that coming back next year could very well be the smarter move if $ is his biggest concern.

Maybe he likes being in college, wants to get his degree, and enjoys Penn State and playing college football? Just a thought...

And I said earlier that's fair--it's also not a good business decision
Just like I criticized the OSU guys for returning last year
It's ultimately his call--hopefully it works out in all respects for him--it's just a bad business decision and is emotional based which is "enjoys Penn State and playing college football" vs "this is a weak draft class and I'm QB 3 and could rise so I should go" which is solely logic.

Do people always accept a job that pays the most? Or do they factor in whether they would enjoy it, whether they'd be happy, whether they like the location, whether they'd have a work/life balance, etc. etc. etc.

No--and, again, that's an emotional decision which is what I just said. He's making an emotional decision which he's allowed to do obviously
Just like Beau leaving now is emotional not logical

Open up this thread and it's just reply after reply to the ignored troll. Why? You guys like the abuse of fighting with someone who has no regard for the truth. You guys like attacking him, but he's who he is - a pathetic attention-seeking turd ... YOU'RE the problem because you can't stop responding to him. He's the Willard Preacher and you're the jerks who sit there arguing with him.

LOL... Should have taken a hint from Roy.

Are you out of work again today? Who’s taking care of all your corporate clients?
Not working until 2025 like many people
I have countless people that work for me that will call throughout the day with questions. Have one calling me at 1 which will probably be 2 hours.
Sorry not all of us have a timeclock we have to use

So, as a retiree, I’m not allowed to take a trip out of state during football season but you have an army of people working for you so you can take a month off and spend the rest of your time all day posting nonsense drivel on a football message board? Sounds legit. I thought you had a company Christmas party. Who takes a month off but schedules or even attends a company party in the middle of it? It might be time to tell your imaginary “employees” that their boss is a complete fraud and phony.

You can do whatever makes you happy--assuming you did so and weren't hiding as you never did acknowledge any of the post by the countless people that called you out
I have a company Xmas party on 12/21 which is typical and, yes, attendance for "my level" is required.
You're again trying to hard--can't imagine what you did for a living

Kids make bad decisions sometimes. If that hurts my credibility so be it. We'll see if he changes his mind the next few weeks.
Bad decision based on YOUR OPINION. Your tone of posts is always that your opinion is fact. That's what gets under people's skin. You can say the same things you do but in a less pompous manner and no one would find fault.

Instead of saying "he's making a bad decision", you could say: "in my opinion, he's making a bad decision". See the difference?

I certainly didn’t fund my early retirement by arguing with myself all day long on a football message board like the World’s Greatest Know-it-all. I’m not trying “to” hard at all, Perry Mason. I’m just pointing out what a dope you are which is, again, like shooting fish in a barrel. Let’s hear more about the receiver with no drops who has a drop problem or the quarterback who is transferring because everyone knew Allar was declaring for the draft and the coach wouldn’t promise him the starting job. Why don’t you take your knowledge and personality to The View? Much better fit than pretending to be Penn State fan.

I am kind of like you. I work out of my home and travel. My ADHD dictates that I multiprocess. My caffeine intake contributes. So I do some work, look over a contract, do some research, leave for the airport, wait at the Club Room, fly, etc. and all the while I am pounding this and other boards. I've done that for 15 years. For me, at this point, my work is not about quantity but quality. I do about two or three big initiatives a year and make good money. Weirdly, I've become an expert at "scaling" business and have been doing that for about 15 years. But I need to be on-call at any time during work hours (and sometimes off work hours). My time is like that of a fireman: sit around doing prep and busy work but when the alarm goes off, all hell breaks loose.

Drop/bobble issue which is true. See the TD against Nebraska that was pure luck. Watch 23 tale. Drops
Drew changed his mind from his preseason plan which explains Beau's reaction as he now regrets staying
Pretending lol
