Have any of you bought anything from Duluth Trading? I keep getting their catalog in the mail and I like some of their stuff. Trouble is that the pictures are drawings and I can’t get a true idea of the look. Are their clothes and accessories quality or would I be wasting my money?

No, but I'm intrigued by their commercials. Fortunately, they have a brick-and-mortar store near me, I'd personally inspect their products there rather than order by mail sight unseen.

I have a pair of their flannel lined jeans that I use when I walk the dog (rather than layering up) in the winter. They are not fashionable, but are fairly warm and seem durable. I wear a 36W34L and their normal cut jeans (not relaxed fit or whatever) fit fine.

And they do have great commercials. I'm sure I wouldn't have know of their existence without BTN, so I guess advertising works!

bought a pair of the Armachillo and (can’t recall name) of their other, regularly promoted- hefty man swinging on a pole, pair.

hated the Armachillo.

Love the others. had a pole installed in my living room where I swing freely while watching PSU games. for those of you trying to put a visual on this, I was the model for the Duluth guy :)

Have the buck naked boxers and they are my fav to wear (have like 6 pairs now).. Also have the firehose pants and waterproof lined pants for winter. They tend to run a little large on their sizing so just be warned.

It’s hit or miss and I would agree that you should inspect first by either buying and returning on going to a store.

I have a lot of their older stuff. Seems they went downhill 4-5 years ago.

If you are shopping purely on price then they may be your best option, but you should also look at Cabelas, Orvis, LL Bean etc.

Cabelas has gone downhill as well, but I still think quality is better with them.

I have a few pair of the buck naked underwear and like them a lot. Better than cotton.

I have a pair of Ultimate cargo Duluthflex firehose pants and a pair of trim fit Duluthflex firehose pants. Tough, durable, flexible, roomy..I like both...waited for the 30% off sale and free shipping...I do not work for them.

I have the buck naked underwear. Like it a lot and if you watch sales, you can get it at a significant discount. I am sporting St Pat's and Christmas patterns year around but the price was right, quality good and, at my age, it only matters what underwear you are wearing if you are in a car wreck. ( Mother always said wear clean underwear in case you got in an accident).

I am a pretty regular customer. Have some underwear, a pair of boots, some pocket T-shirts, a flannel shirt, a polar-fleece vest, a barn coat, a pair of firehose pants, and maybe one or two I am forgetting.

All good quality stuff purchased at sale times with free shipping. As you might gather from watching the commercial which feature ALL fat guys, the fit is roomy.:)

Seems like good stuff to me.

I have had two pair of their firehose work pants (the ones with reinforced thighs) for a few years and love them! They aren’t “stylish”, but this particular item wasn’t intended to be. I also bought a pair of boxer briefs made of some breathable fabric that are great too. My wife has a couple of pair of pants (not formal but not yoga either ) that she really likes. If you are into fashion/style then it may not work for you. Their stuff also isn’t cheap. There is a Deluth store in the greater west Chester PA area, so you could visit there or look for a retail store near you.

I'll pick up the flag.

I’ve bought their T shirts for years and they are great. Good quality and heavy material. The boxers aren’t bad either.

I simply do not agree with the L. L. Bean comparisons. Bean makes great stuff but it is most suitable for upscale “Business Casual”. I wear their gear into the office on Fridays and still look “corporate” and I like it. Duluth makes gear that is designed for the man in the field. I love it when I have a field appointment in the AM and get to wear my Duluth gear into the office. I wear Duluth on the weekends because I feel like it is more up to the task of “getting shit done”.

Was at my Honda dealer late this afternoon and honest-to-goodness a Duluth Trading commercial came on tv while my CR-V was being serviced.

Coincidence? I think not.

This McAndrew dude has some kind of power! :D
