Nova Guard Dylan Ennis is going somewhere else for his 5th year. He has played shooting guard at Nova and wants to be the point guard and primary ballhandler for a team. Chambers should get on the phone and try to get this kid. Do not think Garner is a true PG yet. Start Ennis at the point and slide Garner over to shooting guard.

Doubt it will happen though.

Sounds like a good plan...

I wonder if Chambers is working on this. Also, can a coach initiate contact, or does the player have to make the first initiative? I would think the latter, or else you'd have so many coaches trying to poach 5th year players.

Just saw this thanks to my brother. Ennis will NEVER be

full time lead guard at Villanova. Arch has another year and Phil Booth is chomping at the bit to get in there. I think Booth is going to be the primary PG and Arch will move over to SG, Ennis' minutes are going to get cut. Bell is going to start in Hillyard's spot.

Ennis has been a basketball nomad - Canadian kid played high school in New York, went to Rice, transferred to Nova and is now going to play his fifth year at a third school.

I am CERTAIN the player has to initiate contact with a prospective school. This could work out well - Jay will help Dylan find a suitable school, you would think that he would suggest considering Chambers and PSU.

Let's fantasize that Ennis came here - he goes directly into the starting lineup at PG and Shep moves to SG. Makes both positions better. Ennis is a good (not great) player - 3-ball threat, can drive, pretty good handle, plays pretty good defense. Decent size and is aggressive. Decent shooter NC State game notwithstanding. He would be ideal and instantly makes PSU a lot more formidible.

Fox, pretty good chance that booth and newcomer jalen brunson will share Pg duties at Nova next year. Brunson is a stud, mickey D all america.

I think Ennis and PSU would be a good fit. Kid is looking for 30+ min a game at the point.

Nova you're 100% right. I forgot all about Brunson.

5-star PG out of Illinois - kid is going to play. He'll split the point with Booth. Jay likes to keep the minutes under control, roll with the starters about 26 or so a game. Dylan would definitely be the odd man out - he's too good a player to ride the bench in his fifth year and Jay going 8-deep doesn't help him either. Probably best move for all concerned.

Boy I'd love to see him up here.

What college did you graduate from? I was C&F (now VSB, which I hate), 1984.

Re: Nova you're 100% right. I forgot all about Brunson.

BA in Econ from Nova in 1990 (A & S)
MA in econ from PSU in 1993 (A&S)

Dylan did a great job at Villanova this year - and he deseerves an opportunity to start for a quality program. I hope Jay suggests that DE consider Chambers and Penn State. I am a Nova alum (Econ, '86) and Penn State husband and father. I, like all of you, keep rooting for PSU hoops to become a more competitive program. They do play in a great conference (I was not sold on the strength of the B10 until late-March). And I still believe that Pat Chambers can be the guy to get it done - not the he will be the guy mind you.

Anthony Lee "thought" that last year. He transferred to OSU from Temple and he played very little. He would have been the starting center for Temple. I think it would be a mistake for Ennis to transfer. If he had a couple of years left then go, but one ? Now if he plans on going to a lesser program ala. PSU then why not.
