E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!! Eagles - Cowboys 2021 G1 Thread

Let’s play them one at a time. It’s a long season I thought Dillard would look worse, I think they may have something with him
Maybe they’ll nick a win there, but the odds are they’ll be 2-5 at best. Given those odds, I’m hoping they just tank. There isn’t much on this roster. It sucks, but is true.

Some of the protection issues are from Hurts. He hasn’t helped himself at times. But the OL isn’t good. Can we end the Andre Dillard experiment?
The same time we end the Hurts Sirriani experiment.

I don’t ever want them to tank. They always have to play next game to win it even at 1-15

I think they are looking at 1-6. Schedule has too many good teams in the first half to expect very much. 2nd half of the schedule has some wins, if there are any healthy players left.

Rookie HC and QB is a bad combo.

Didn’t the franchise show otherwise in the last game of last season?
I m not in charge of the franchise. Unfortunately for the HC the owner and GM make those decisions. I didnt agree with it. DP didn’t make that decision IMO

Not a rookie QB

The total lack of a system on offense is what gets me. That looked like the Eagles under Buddy Ryan tonight. I get the OL issues, but they gave up on Sanders early and he was having pretty good success.

Yeah, the offensive game plan was beyond baffling. I wasn't too confident with two starters out on the OL, and that did appear to be a big deal. However, there did not appear to be a competent game plan on O, and it just got worse as they fell further and further behind.

It felt like Dallas’ plan was to sell out to pressure Hurts. Quick runs and screens to Sanders May have combatted that. He makes one guy miss on a sell out and he could be in Fort Worth by now.

Why does Phila bring no heat on 4th and g at the 4, 5 whatever it was. Dak had all the time in the world, guys loafing around at the goal line. Goes over the top for easy 6.

Dallas will once again have a bloated record and be sent packing after the first rounds of the playoffs.

Hmmm. Only time will tell. I won't go out on a limb and say this year will be any different. Mike McCarthy's time clock management is perplexing and it's going to cost them.

But they more than made up for it with a great defensive game plan. And boy...that was some awesome tackling!

+1. Although I don't know if they "gave up" on him since I barely saw him being used. I mean 2 freaking carries hell Hurts had 9.
I had no dog in this fight other than wanting to Parsons and Sanders to do well and my gut reaction is the Eagles OC is ehhh and I'm being kind.
But damn Parsons is just a BEAST.

I feel the young Eagles coaches HC, OC, DC are in over their heads.
The HC and the play caller are one in the same. Its hard show you are an offensive genius when all you do is run up the middle, but sometimes genius is in the simplicity!

I wonder if these last couple of games are a result of the Eagles’ crack analytic team inputs. 🤓😂

Basing it off body of work against Tampa and Chargers and this game so far. They are far better but agree, its a marathon not a sprint.

That said, I think the best coach in the history of the Eagles is not a Head Coach. Jim Johnson was brilliant.
His protege IS a Head coach - in Buffalo.

The Eagles handed the ball off 3 times to their RBs lastnight. Let that sink in!

The HC needs to be held responsible for putting Hurts in an unwinnable situation by refusing to run the ball.

I've never seen a stat line like that in an NFL game. 3!!!!!!!

Piss poor. Young QB trying to find his footing? Hostile road environ? Defense looking to blitz constantly? OL injuries?

Run the ball 3 times, of course!

Who knows if they win with a more balanced attack, but the players at least respect the game plan and feel they have a legit shot to compete.
