Eierman not going this season

I get what you are saying
I respect them both immensely. Ferentz did his damage in a little midwest fly over State with 2-3 million people and 2-3 star recruits. Hard to find ones that did more with less so consistently over the years. Kirk put a lot of talent into the NFL just like JoPa.

Trivia question.. First one to get it right gets a virtual high five from me. What was the head to head football record between Ferentz and Paterno?
Farentz was 8-3 against joe pa as head coach.
Farentz seems to always have a winning record somehow. Damn good coach tho. Surprised he's stayed there as long as he had too. Plus I like his old school offenses. The ones that actually have stud olineman, pound the ball, and use these new things called tightends. Ones that can block and catch. Not just glorified, albeit big, slot receivers.

Favorite Iowa player is no doubt Bob Sanders. He was a stud. Wish he could of stayed healthy in the league. The only year he played every game the colts win it all, he's the defensive player of the year, and they won because of their D. Not manning in his prime. Crazy. One of my three favorite safeties.

Man I couldn't agree with you more. Ferentz is definitely old school pro style. I love that about him. Also the Colts are my pro team so yeah Bob Sanders is one of my favorites. He literally threw his body into every tackle. No Fear!

Well, Turk, we may not have the same college wrestling team, but I'm with you on the Colts--going all the way back to the Baltimore Colts days (not many of us stuck with them after the move).
