espn u currently is showing the 30 for 30 documentary on the miami hurricanes coming back from sanctions. In 2000, #1 fsu played at #7 miami. miami hadn't beaten fsu since 1994. This was obviously a big game for the miami program coming back from sanctions. One of the miami players from 2000 said in a 30 for 30 interview that they didn't go to class the week of the fsu game. The entire focus was fsu. They just stayed at the football facility and prepared for the game.

Please take this opportunity to remember that Penn State has a culture problem.

I also think most, if not all, of those players graduated within the prescribed timeframes set by the NCAA. So, not really sure what your point is.

Don't take things out of context Bob.

Hey, don't ruin my moment. I am on the interwebs, I am posting quickly, and I. AM. OUTRAGED. .

Anyway, my point was that a player admitted that they didn't go to class one week to prepare for a game. Ridiculous. I don't care if they all graduated legitimately.

Or, the player was embellishing for affect.

Or he wasn't embellishing for effect ( ). He said it.

You aren't obligated to defend miami on a Penn State message board. Just be OUTRAGED. . It's easier. I don't recall hearing a college player saying something like that before. It was very miami-y. If a Penn State player said it, we all would be OUTRAGED. . No one would buy embellishment.

I wonder if Miami players exceeded their allowable practice time for that week?
what's the statue of limitations on ncaa infractions?

No fan of the Canes, but having watched this particular 30 for 30, they had great leadership from upper class players and in the off-season had their own workouts, so they were capable of doing so in game weeks if the official practice hours were an issue.

The player motivation tools weren't pretty....verbal and physical abuse, hazing, etc., but they ran a tight ship. That 2000 team (and even more so the next 2 years) was really outstanding....a ton of NFL talent.

Bob has not and never will recover from the $h!+storm that followed the PA OAG GJP detailing the accusations against he who shall not be named. Let his outrage flow.
