Question for the all knowing board: Do we need ESPN plus to watch the natty? It's 10 bucks per month correct? Is there anyway to get it free because I'm cheap lol...?

Probably for the finals

For the last few years:

All sessions free streaming on ESPN, but maybe not all mats (sometimes only 4).

Semis + Finals free on regular ESPN TV.
I believe they changed it this year. Streaming was on ESPN3 which was free if you had ESPN as part of your cable package. Looking ahead on the ESPN App, it’s showing the individual mats only available on ESPN+ which is an additional $9.99 per month and they do not offer a free trial.

I don't even see nationals listed on ESPN+ when logged in using my YouTube TV account.

Every session is on either ESPNU or ESPN. The ESPN plus advantage is the ability to select a specific mat.
With our current Comcast subscription, which includes ESPN, ESPN 2 & ESPNU, I was always able to view individual mats on my computer through ESPN + using my Comcast sign in. Hopefully this helps anyone with Comcast.

If you use the ESPN app and search NCAA wrestling it shows matcast being shown on ESPN+. It appears the ability to select any mat for free using ESPN3 is no longer available. I don't mind paying a mere $10 for the most exciting 3 days in sports.

I have Comcast also. For whatever reason they moved espn u to the highest tier of channels. I think i used to get it. I got espn+ so I'll be ok there, somewhat.

Hopefully they'll move everything to espn3 like in past years.

Good ol’ comcast

If you have kids get the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ bundle for just $3 more. It’s well worth it.
Thanks for this tip! If you subscribe to Disney+ can you stream on a smart TV? BigTen+ would not allow me to do that.....was not able to download the B10+ app on the TV. Had to watch on my laptop.

The correct way to watch is to sync up the TV with the online stream so you don't get spoilers. Watch the PSU guys on the stream to avoid interruptions and keep an eye on the tv for other good matchups.

Also, since PSU guys will absolutely wrestle at the same time at some point you gotta have two screens to stream.

Nationals has always been on cable via ESPN, ESPNU,,, Is that not the case this year? I want to watch on the big screen without streaming.

After looking at the schedule, all sessions will be on ESPN and ESPNU but earlier rounds on ESPNU you are at their mercy for what mats/matches they show. You will need ESPN+ to have the ability to watch each mat.

Depends on the TV, but I avoided that problem by getting a fire stick. I have the ESPN app with ESPN+ on the fire stick that I can stream through the TV. A fire stick is a worthy investment in general if you have subscriptions to streaming services.

This is great advice. And it’s easy to find, access and watch all your apps. I also cut the cord to cable, put the you tubetv app on fire stick as well. I’m pretty happy with my setup now.

Same here, only we use ROKU.

Actually…. spent $1k on new 75” “smart” samsung and got fed up trying to navigate the OS, so we went out bought a damn ROKU for that TV as well.

I only use Roku, as well. But I intend to watch the NCAA's. My wife was desperate to watch the Oscars, and we had no access to ABC. In desperation, I bought YouTubeTV. Cost me $69 for a month. I may have failed to mention to my wife that I'll be using ESPN and ESPNU for the next week or so. Just a funny coincidence. I wanted mat choices and I figure what's 10 more bucks. So I'm in for 79 dollars for the tournament.
