What would give me the authority to make this decision?Sounds like you you want to. I say go for it. See what your response is. Im curious

And, if folks have the fear that I'm going to be the hero to report this possible infraction, no, I decided a few years back that I'm not going to be anyone's hero any longer, but I do think that it warrants being looked into, and I'd be surprised if the Rutgers organization isn't looking into it..
Fair enough. Then it's a done deal. Seems a little odd to have codes of conduct policies then, huh?Lol, I would be COMPLETELY surprised if the Rutgers organization was even giving this a second thought.
Not sure, you tell me. You're the expert. I've ever snitched on anyone personally. Never even callled 911. Maybe drink a pint of Vodka and make a phone call? What would give me the authority to make this decision?
OK, I'll tell you: I don't work within a capacity to be able to make that decision in this case, and as I stated above, I'm not going to be anyone's hero. Not sure, you tell me. You're the expert. Yeah, that could be the case. I'm talking about something different than shoes and sweaters though. Some people don't watch the wrestling when the Hawkeye's are on the mat. They watch the coaching staff and look for anything at all that they can be called out for. Dancing, hugging, yelling, jumping, sweaters, shoes, haircuts... you name it people love to hate Iowa anyway they can. Been that way since i can remember.
In a bizarro world, I’d love to hear a session called by these 2 from the Winter Olympics:Some people don't watch the wrestling when the Hawkeye's are on the mat. ...apparent "legends"/"ambassadors" of the sport running out onto the mat to flip off (or, as the apparent "legend"/"ambassador" said it, "give the arm") opposing coaches.Nose picking, hip thrusts, out of style pants, squirming, hand clapping, whispering, coming onto the mat, to excitable, swaying in their chairs..

Man card taken and shredded.Ban is really making himself seem soft. Man card taken
High fives, tosses, grunts, hand touching, blank stares..
If you can't decipher the difference between (1) an observation by a person who does not work within the capacity to OFFICIALLY determine that he was indeed mocking him and (2) me not being in the position to officially review this specific case, that one falls on you, not me. Is that difficult to see?!Man card taken and shredded.
I like how he says he can't make the decision but then later he calls it "mocking" If he is calling it mocking, it sounds like he has made his decision. Or should I have said "you' instead of "he"?
He was saying that Hegel’s Rechtsphilosophie was a work of sophistry and Richie heartily disagreed
So you're saying Hawk wrestling has become so boring that people would rather watch the coaches? Some people don't watch the wrestling when the Hawkeye's are on the mat. Given the choice between certain wrestlers doing nothing but head snapping/pushing from neutral and coaches just about doing cartwheels in the corner, it's hard not focus on the coaches. So you're saying Hawk wrestling has become so boring that people would rather watch the coaches?
Don't know why he seems so butthurt over this whole bunch of nothing, but the endless repeating of the same thing is getting old fast. And for the record, I am neither an Iowa or Rutgers fan.Sounds like you you want to. I say go for it. See what your response is. Im curious
Am I butthurt? No, just curious as to whether or not this is a violation; I think it's a worthy consideration, given codes of conduct in public institutions, which I have some familiarity with.Don't know why he seems so butthurt over this whole bunch of nothing, but the endless repeating of the same thing is getting old fast. Plus the fact that we agree it is bush league.Am I butthurt? No, just curious as to whether or not this is a violation; I think it's a worthy consideration, given codes of conduct in public institutions, which I have some familiarity with.
I'll also add that to those of us on here who actually played sports, and particularly at the collegiate level, it's called "bush league," and denotes someone who doesn't have the most vague concept of respect and sportsmanship.
And, you and I share something in common: I, too, am neither a Rutgers or Iowa fan! Yippee!!
Plus the fact that we agree it is bush league.
But those of us who actually played sports, and particularly at the collegiate level, give the situation what it is worth-maybe an offhand comment, not 30.
And I believe that some of the guys here know that I have some familiarity with codes and policies of public institutions-and nowhere that I know of is going to complain, or investigate, unless there is some type of discrimination or assault. And since I participate with the type of persons in public institutions that would be doing the investigation, if there was a complaint, the investigation would take about 3 minutes.[/QUOTE]
THANK YOU Can we please end this car wreck of a thread. I can't stop looking at it.
I could give a #$^% what TB said, RL did the rite thing by beating AM and giving it back to TB. It's your fanbase that is butthurt that he gave it back to TB and that is what is so odd. But TB is always good for some sophmoric entertainment. I will say if I met him I would probably walk away impressed and glad for the exchange. As long as he didn't throw meTalk about a waste of time.
So I was called out by a opposing coach that I couldn't wrestle a full match..
So I go home and tell daddy to report this coach to his AD.
All I can say is my daddy would say "what in hell they teaching you
in school"? Do you need counseling? Don't take so many lung time outs for heaven sake.
I'm giving 30 comments only because others are also engaging me, which I am replying to. Ironically, it seems that you're one of them as well, and it DOES take two to tango. LOL!Plus the fact that we agree it is bush league.

Yep, anything goes. Why stop at that? Why not just incessantly provoke, insult, swear at, and heck yeah, it's anything goes, throw things at the opposing athlete, as long as you see it as anything goes. Correct? If not, why not?Talk about a waste of time.

That's not quite true. Iowa won 18-17 without criteria. If Iowa were docked a team point and Stoll pinned Rachal, then Iowa would've won on criteria.Terry was so lucky to dodge the putting his hands on the official during the match against Illinois..If the ref had the balls to stop the match (simple call) and deduct a team point then Iowa would have lost that match to Illinois on criteria..That would of been interesting!

I always thought number of unsportsmanlike was the first criteria. The highest number of unsportsmanlike calls loses. The ref could have hit Iowa with a coaches misconduct or unsportsman like but he did not. I could be wrong here. That's not quite true. Iowa won 18-17 without criteria. First criterion = # victories -- tied 5-5.
Second criterion = # pins/FFTs/defaults/DQs -- Stoll had the only pin. No forfeits, defaults, or DQs.
Iowa loses only if the ref stops the match before the fall and Stoll doesn't pin Rachal anyway.
I think that's true in HS. Not true in college.I always thought number of unsportsmanlike was the first criteria. The highest number of unsportsmanlike calls loses. The ref could have hit Iowa with a coaches misconduct or unsportsman like but he did not. I could be wrong here.
We have learned nothing. Terry Brands and RLsewage are both pretty equal punks and behave in fairly predictable fashion. We sure needed PD3 around so things like this wouldn't even be noticed. Tom is not Terry and Tom does not behave nearly as reckless from what I have seen. I do have full confidence in Terry's ability to get Spencer Lee ready to smash the Tomato in that all important semi final, so lets be keeping him around.
