2 counts simple assault, 2 counts harassment, day of Ohio state game. No other details available.

Still have his autograph on an old gregs sunoco football. Gonna put it in the soon to be manroom. Hope everything works out for him.

Did some osu guys piss him off. Did they get in his face

After getting an autograph, a tOSU fan said 'Hey - you spelled your last name wrong; it's E-N-N-I-S.' Old timers who followed recruiting back in the day will understand...

Yep

You never know what can "turn the tide" on recruiting

BTW - anyone remember the name of the TB recruit who signed with PSU a few years back?
From upstate NY (military family IIRC)
Size, speed, the whole look of CE, and played - like CE - at a very "small school" level
Never worked out for him, but man, that kid had the "look"......just like CE

I remember at one Ohio State game there was a banner in the stadium "Penn State has a big Enis, Ohio State has a little Pepe". Pepe Pearson was OSUs RB.

Thought it was one of the funniest signs I've seen.

Dukes is from Philadelphia, NY all the way up 81. He drives bus for his old high school now.

He did look like he was headed for good things. He averaged like 6 yards per carry, but completely disappeared after BOB came to town. Eventually he just walked away.

There aren't many football players from that area. Brian Leonard (of Rutgers fame) is about the only other one I can think of.

Im trying to figure out why Curtis Enis was in State College and why he thought that might have been wise.

Does anyone have a picture of the Enis Envy placards the daily collegian put out before the osu game circa 96? Man, I wished I had saved one.

I remember one game there was a sign that said "Our Enis is bigger than yours."

Current fave...

Why not?

A ton of ex-players were back for that game

Didn't someone also post that he was with a bunch of OSU guys with whom he worked? I forget who shared on this board, but he said he ran into Enis and a bunch of OSU guys tailgating, and that Enis worked with them. Dude is from Ohio after all.

I remember seeing a post game video from Mark Brennan with Franklin hugging greeting Enid after the game.

Sorry to here he had an issue hopefully not a big deal.

He also has a son that is a pretty highly sought after WR recruit in the 18 cycle.

I could be wrong, but I recall the sign reading:

"I'd rather have a big Enis than a little Pepe"

I loved it as well.

Pre-suita non-grata.

He has done anything to apologize or adequately explain his misguided actions shortly before being booted from PSU for improperly accepting a suit and other favors from a sports agent (who is still in business, but I digress).

Am I missing anything?

Apparently punched a dude and then tackled another guy who was chasing him after the fact. No details about who/why, or if the other people were charged also.

That was me. He was walking to my right by the IM building and he was with three guys he worked with. Curtis was wearing a white PSU hoodie and his mates were in OSU red. They were looking for somewhere to tailgate and were very cordial and friendly.

He was doing fairly well but he wasn't sure of the plays. I recall him running and getting 4-6 yards a carry over and over, until he messed up 2 out of 4 plays not knowing his assignment.

Speaking of related signage, one of my favorites was for the 87 Fiesta Bowl, "Penn State has Vinny by his Testaverdes".
