FC: Hypocrisy in CFB

Whoa. Easy, gramps. My post was one of personal opinion. Also, I didn't go as far as even suggesting that other people should feel the same. I would apologize for my opinions, but that's far too liberal for me. For the record, you're correct. I never took a class at Main. Spent a semester at a satellite campus and ultimately graduated from a state school. I will apologize for the fact that I was never aware that being an alumnus was a requirement for Penn State fandom.

Too funny, you have no association whatsoever with PSU, yet you're PSU's self-declared Director of Integrity and Tradition??? Gee, how did I know you didn't go to PSU yet are a bloviating loudmouth as to what PSU Alumnus are and are not allowed to be proud of in regards to their University in general and their University's Athletic Department's tradition of excellence both on the field and in the classroom (i.e., "The Grand Experiment")? Had you pegged, didn't I putz-boy?

Relax. There comes a time when you need to acknowledge that you've made your point.

Well, I'd rather tell the truth than lie and potentially besmirch the reputation of Penn State. But again, your reading comprehension is lacking. I never made any claims that you'd laid upon me. Not everything is so black and white, I can have my opinion, you can have yours. The fact that you've been on this forum for a minute and have made nearly 300 posts... Well, lets just agree to disagree, or you can disagree to disagree, either way. Won't bother me.

Exactly. Thank You.

For fifty+ years there was one unique characteristic with regard to the Penn State Football program. At least with regard to the entire "student"-athlete relationship. I think we all know what/who that characteristic was.
Amazingly, there now seems to be a group group of folks - who I imagine would be among those who would be most adamant as to the uniqueness of that past characteristic - who are reacting like crazed lunatics at the suggestion that now (when that unique characteristic is no longer present), and now that those folks leading the University and the University's ICA have a very "different" historical resume (180 degrees different), that those past achievements may not be a given moving forward.
I think Nurse Ratched may be late with her rounds from the dispensary. Too say the least.
.
I think that is fair...but CJF and the AD have been in place for several years. I've seen nothing to indicate a degradation in the commitment to excellence in athletics. If you see it, I am all ears. But right now, appears that CJF, the AD and everyone else has embraced the PSU culture of excellence in athletics.

Agree. I have no worries on this subject.
