If and when ND needs to join a conference I think their only real choice will be the Big 10. The ACC is really an awkward fit

Actually, if the BiG was willing to take ND for sports other than football then they would be Big 10. To their credit the Big said no. Basically all or nothing.
ND will make that choice when the time comes.

ACC or nothing for ND. They already made that call. Any other discussion on landing spot is silly jibberish.

Don't see how joining the ACC benefits their recruiting, but the question is will it benefit PSU? That is about the only thing I care about.

So you think the ACC lucked into their two National Titles? I mean Pitt would be one of their easy game s and they beat Penn St. Curious.......what is awkward about ND in the ACC. Awkward would be SEC or Big12. The Big Ten or the ACC make sense.

I certainly agree ND will need to join a conference no matter how distasteful it may be to their very large collective ego. Also, a potential ACC network needs more than two large football brands with recent success (Clemson, FSU) to entice people to watch. Few ACC fan bases are large or rabid enough. Not many eyeballs would be watching a Pitt/Wake Forest game.

Umm FSU and Clemson have been around more than recently. And, in fairness not many would be watching Northwestern at Purdue either.
