It will be interesting to see what the thon total is this year, IMO it seemed like a less publicized event then prior years.
i am interested too... while i have seen less "grass roots" publicity, I have been surprised by the number of corporate donation/activities (i.e. THON days at sporting events in Philly and elsewhere, stores donating proceeds, etc.). Not sure if the volume is actually up or i just happen to stumble into it more...
I believe this is the 40th anniversary of THON and they've raised something like $136,000,000 over the years. That puts them about $14,000,000 away from $150,000,000 total dollars raised, which is a sliver more than the record $13,000,000 they raised two years ago. Would be pretty incredible for them to hit $150,000,000 total. Unlikely, but worth tracking.
