Flo 285 rankings

I'm fine with Nevills being down low--pretty much where he should be with his very short season last year. But I'm looking forward to seeing him climb the ladder!

I am also intrigued to see what he has. Him and the two other N's all had a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding them. If he can match their success or even come close to it I will probably curl up in the fetal position and just cry.

Nevills had a very good Scuffle as a RS, with wins over DeJournette and Shaw, before getting hurt against Marsden in the semis. He looked very good then and was showing great promise.

You are right, He showed he had a high Ceiling....In Fact I believe by the end of the Season he will be right where his talent coming out of HIgh School showed, Mid-High AA. I am really looking forward to a Healthy Nevills Vs. a Healthy Stoll. Emphasis on the word Healthy for both those talented young men.

I would have to guess that Ohio St will be FLO's preseason #1.

Two individual #1s (174 & HWT) and two #2s (133 & 184), plus a 6th.

VT has more Top 8 guys to start but I'm not gonna do the math for FLO. Lol.

The discussion on the Iowa board is more than a little over the top. At #7 now but he'll make top 4 is the line. Top four for a guy that hasn't beaten anyone and is in a brutal weight would a huge boost for Iowa. Nevills isn't mentioned in that discussion. Stoll vs Nevills is a big variable for PSU/Iowa, I'm optimistic but Nevills is a bit of a mystery yet.

I think the math points Okie State, FLO has the almost the whole team in the top 10.

Before his injury Stoll beat the 5,8,9,12 ranked guys.

So #7 seems right. And 285 gets real steep at the top.
I'd say so, but he has beat the number five so with a good tournament 4-5 is right there for him. I agree that him beating Snyder, Waltz, and Medberry is unlikely. Non of this matters if the knee continues to be a problem.

I will be a little concerned if Nevills doesn't beat Butler. I think he should.

If Nick hit the weights really HARD and keeps lifting hard through the season. He will be very tough to beat this year....
You keep harping on this -- what makes you think he didn't participate in the offseason S&C program?

Well he came back from his injury 10-15 pounds overweight. He wasn't moving very well at 265. Of course, it was probably just mat rust, but S&C a legitimate concern for Nevills at this point in his career

I can actually understand their optimism over Stoll. If you look at the quality wins he had before he got hurt. However I agree with your premise and 7 seems a good place for him because the fact is he got hurt pretty bad. Just like Nevills last season, only time will tell if he continues where he left off, or if it takes some time to get back to what he was before the injury.

based on the individual rankings, Missouri should be ahead of PSU. Pretty funny when you consider CP was giving WIN a hard time about PSU being ranked 7th. If Coon and McFadden were wrestling this year, that's exactly where CP would have them.

Did he complete the first part of your If scenario and hit the weights really HARD to this point?
