Football or Hunting

I don’t hunt anymore but my cousin who does plans on being out until around 11 and then driving up to the game since it’s a 3:30 start.

Don’t hunt. We are having thanksgiving with our son in Columbus, here two weekends in a row. Then on to SC tomorrow for volleyball and then the game on Saturday.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the positive posters (thx James) on BWI.

I quit hunting years ago and haven’t missed it. I’ll definitely be watching the game.

I haven’t had season tickets for over ten years, but I would not have missed the opening day of buck season for Rutgers.
I have not had to shoot a buck with the rifle since 2010....i passed a bunch of decent buck during archery because I was hunting one particular buck on my property. I also am now retired and I wanted to have the two week season to take the gun for a walk. Don't really care if I get one, just want the days in the field.

I’m right there with you.

I am not a hunter at all. No interest. But I get the essence of your post and I love it.

Definitely hunting. It's the 1st day. I wish it still started on Monday. The Game Commission really messed up our camp weekend with this change. I'm DVRing the game.

Always enjoyed pheasant and grouse hunting.Did not care if we were successful or not.Just the time in the field esp with a good dog was a reward unto itself.
I always enjoyed small game hunting more than deer hunting....being out in the woods, moving, better weather.

Grew up with a beagle. Would hunt like crazy with him. Was nothing to shoot a box of shells a day. Moving around, staying warm. Loved eating rabbit and my mom was a great cook. Then deer season would come and my dad would put me in a spot on a rock or log behind a hemlock and tell me he would get me at five o'clock! By 9 I had eaten all my food and would freeze my ass off. Actually didnt like deer hunting my first 5 years of hunting...

I don't have the patience to hunt, tried it once but got bored about 20 minutes in, so I started walking around and probably scared off anything I could shoot.

Monday start is the stupidest thing EVER.
Everyone is going to love the Saturday opener once they get used to it.

Everyone in my family disagrees with you. We have to drive to camp in the morning, unpack, get the tree stands in and up and make sure we have our trails marked so we can find them in the dark. This Sat. start just puts such a rush on our weekend and there's no flexibility if the weather doesn't cooperate.

So who is hunting Saturday instead of heading to The Beav? Sold my tickets, so I will be in a tree stand. God willing I wil have an eight point in the truck and be in front of the TV by noonish!
Hunting til noon. The CWD stuff has taken some of the passion out of it for me plus being a traditionalist I still wish it was on a Monday. Also I love college football . CWD and Transfer Portal not sure which is more of a bummer.

Headed to ORV lot tomorrow (Friday). Football and tailgating until Sunday then off to camp in Milroy. I’ll hunt on Monday.

Im surprised that PSU didn't request moving this game up to Friday afternoon or evening due to the hunting season beginning.

I'll be up a tree for as long as it takes. I always start watching PSU games about an hour or two after they start so I can FF thru all the commercials and other nonsense. I no longer have to bitch about the guy in the red hat!
