For people who say that refs don't rig games

Wow. I played in a high school game that was, essentially, the league championship. I am pretty sure it was fixed. In 8 minute quarters, our team had 130 yards in penalties. A long play before the half, our wide open WR was literally tackled while the back was in the air and there was no call. They called a low pass incomplete on a screen, said the ball hit the ground, in the last minute that went all the way to the five yard line. On offense I recall the refs yelling ‘it’s coming this way’. The local paper had several articles about how one sided the game was called but came just short of calling it fixed. It is part of my paranoia regarding institutional power

We had a 30+ game winning streak and played a game in which we had six touchdowns called back. Flags didn’t fly until we were in the End Zone. We lost 14-8.

I recall playing the #1 ranked team in the state at the time in a driving rain at about 35 degrees. It was by far the worst weather I have ever payed in. We were up and ran the ball on 4th down and the clock wound down to :00, but for some unknown reason they put 1 second back on the clock. Back in those days, this did not happen, especially when it was on their field. Still, their only chance was a hail Mary from about the 40 yard line. The receiver slipped and fell in the end zone with no one around him and couldn't have come close to catching the ball any way. The throw did not even make it to the end zone. They threw the flag and gave them the ball on the 1. For years we had played them tough but could never get over the hump. The league wanted state champs and did everything they could to make it happen. The game film did not lie. The ref that threw the flag had the flag in his hand the entire play. It was obvious what had happened.

Isn’t high school pass interference 15 yards?
