...how were you treated, before all the pitt athletic supporters left in the 3rd quarter?

How did last night compare to 2016?

No pitt fans said a word to me before or during the game. I’ve had the same experience at pitt before and also notthwestern and Michigan.

No direct harassment this year. Lots of "**** Penn State" chants on the ramp before the fame.

I see direct quotes get automatically changed to **** Nice.

Better than 2016. I think the rain subdued things. Had two twenty-somethings screaming all sorts of profanities and Sandusky and paterno stuff at us in the stands as they walked to the concourse at halftime. And way too many grown men wearing Joe knew shirts. But all in all, not terrible.

That’s bad enough. Cretins.

Friends at the game, dressed in Penn State gear, reported a few catcalls but no open hostility. Not much different than any away game.

Somehow, there was a fight in my row. The Pitt guys started into the Ped State nonsense once the momentum started to shift with the late 1st half touchdown. The drunk PSU guy next to me couldn't let it go.

If I wasn't an old guy and my wife wasn't screaming at me to behave, I probably wouldn't have let it go either.

I am a lifetime Pittsburgh resident, I am amazed at how classless the Pitt guys can be. We will always be better not scheduling Pitt.

Hey just curious what do guess the % of PSU fans there last night? Sounded pretty good on TV, especially hearing the “We want the Lion” chant later in the game.

In the stadium it was fine. Outside there was a guy walking behind us constantly spewing the child rape stuff. No biggie except he was having his 7 year old son yell stuff on child rape and Sandusky and Joe. The kid has no chance in life with this dude as a parent. Very Sad.

A Penn State friend told me he guessed a 75/25 Pitt crowd. Part of the problem was many Penn State fans sat among Pitt fans and not as a unit, so it was difficult to estimate their numbers.

Was at the game... sat in the PSU section and made it a purpose to enter the stadium at 6:45 to avoid the last minute influx of Pitt drunks that probably happened closer to kickoff.. overall wasn't a terrible experience, only had a few people yell profanities and the usual rape stuff, just ignored them and kept walking with our group. I'd say it was about 70% Pitt to 30% PSU crowd wise... although it was hard to say for sure because of the rain gear everyone was wearing in the stadium.

I didn't go to the 2016 game, but I probably won't go back if PSU plays Pitt again considering the 4 hour drive. Not like I was expecting it to be, but it was just not anywhere close to being as college friendly as State College as far as gameday experience. Very few restaurants, tailgaiting under loud overpasses, just bleh. Felt like I was at the toilet bowl or something, especially with the shitty weather in an NFL stadium.

Plenty of good restaurants available in downtown by jumping on and off the T subway which is free at all downtown stops and the North shore stadium stops. We had a great lunch at the Bigelow grille and drinks with a big group of State fans at the Mariott City center bar before going to a couple joint State/Pitt tailgates by the Clark bar and grill. Made the best of some horrible weather. The big 2nd half made the day pretty damn sweet.
