I just spoke to a long time major college football coach who said that Franklin had a much tougher job than Bill O
He had to deal with a quarterback that was not right for his O At least Bill had Matt.
Bill had a veteran D. Bill has no expectations from the higher ups. Franklin had to raise recruiting after all of other coaches nonsense.
The profession felt PSU would be dead/non relevant for 10 years
It took PSU only 5 to win a conference and be relevant
