Franklin presser

Read some of the comments. I don't care that they attack. Just shows they can make a valid argument but they do.
Some don't seem to comprehend what an opinion is...it is not an opinion that we handled this poorly so it got national attention. That's a fact.
“It is not an opinion that we handled this poorly”

Your statement is 100% an opinion, which is a concept you do not understand

Well done--the PR department knew they handled it correctly and sent him to the wolves to apologize
This is how it should have been handled on Wednesday
Now maybe we can agree it was a fact that it was handled poorly and created a situation that didn't need to exist
Good damage control

Headline on ESPN that Franklin apologized. Just hard to understand why he felt the need to express regret when according to the PR majors on this board, he did nothing, I mean....nothing, wrong. As I said on the first page of this thread, our PR team continues to be the very worst in all of college sports and has a habit of allowing small stories to turn negative and national.

Correct...they're all ignoring it now

See the apology
As I stated...it was a fact
Apology no expected though deserved as yet again you're wrong

Regardless of franklins apology, it is a matter of opinion that it was wrong or right.

Cry fact alll you want. It doesn’t make it so

That is what you never comprehend.

It's not...it was a mistake and that's a reality. The problem isn't my take. It's that you refuse to admit they handled it poorly. Everyone knows the did...their action prove that. Not opinion. Fact.

As I said to Lando on another thread, the point...well mine at least...was not whether it was a tactical error and bad look to have a flunky give the obvious and necessary canned answer to the inevitable question. Yes, it was.

Rather the point was that the whole thing would be a non-story sinking like a rock within 24 hours. Which it did.

So Franklin felt a burst of graciousness in the afterglow of a big win and apologized for a dumb move during last week's presser. Big deal. It remains, as it was from the beginning, a non-story.

Now we're going to pretend he wasn't told he had to apologize at the end of the post-game presser?

Do you work for the University - no
You don’t so you 100% cannot state that as fact - it might and might not be true - YOU DON’T KNOW!

LOL--yeah, okay--we're all just going to keep pretending to ignore the obvious
Franklin was told to act how he did at the first presser but now he goes rogue and speaks about it--brilliant

It is still 100% opinion. What don’t you understand? There is simply no right way or wrong way to handle that situations. There is no law preventing one from answering any way they wish.

Let me tray an analagous situation on you.

Abortion is Right. Abortion is wrong. What is the correct answer? Is it opinion or fact?

If that is too heavy a topic, I’ll try a simpleton one for you
It was cold outside today. Is that opinion or fact? Please justify your response.

It's not. It's fact that the presser was a disaster--see the result.
An opinion is which other option you would have used. This option was wrong. See the public reaction and the required apology.
We have proof, due to the reaction, that was handle wrong. We all know. The true simpletons, such as yourself, just refuse to admit it because you were wrong the whole time despite the fact you should be very used to it
Franklin apologized--we'll see if that saves the jobs of the people in the PR department

You do not understand what is a FACT.

It is a fact that they announced to the media no questions would be taken
It is a fact that CJF stepped away from the mike when a question was asked
It is a fact that PR guy read some statement. Following CJF stepping away.
It is a fact CJF apologized on SAturday

What is NOT a fact is the determination that the situation was handled right/wrong, proper/improper, … whatever you want. That is what a narcisssitic personality like you cannot grasp. It is you opinion it was handled wrong. It is others opinion that the situation was handled acceptably. A fact cannot be disputed, yet this thread shows there is a dispute over it. Hence, no FACT.

I see, per your usual t modus operandi, when faced with a question that will show your weakness, you sidestep and ignore it. That is a fact.

A fact is that the the presser was handled so poorly it created a story out of nothing forcing an apology to hope it didn't overtake this week. That's a fact. It can't be disputed. That's what happened.
