I know that there has been a lot of discussion on this topic with no confirmation, and while we will never know for certain until it is officially published by the B1G... I did have the opportunity to fly back from Minneapolis with a B1G referee who told me they have been told by the B1G officials the following:

2020 Rutgers
2021 Penn State
2022 Nebraska

I think a lot of this rings true... it confirms the Rutgers “announcement”, it aligns with PSU being the next up in “original” rotation... and that Nebraska needs to be in there as the first “new” addition not to have hosted.

If I had to guess... $$$ aka market has driven the B1G to this ordering.

When I can get back to my computer once actually make it all the way home, I’ll update my rotation schedule with these venues as tentative.

So, Rutgers (2014 join date) jumped Nebraska (2011 join) due to money? Bigger market?

2020 BIG site hasn't been determined yet. At this point the "Rutgers rumor" is just that. Not saying it won;t happen, just saying at this point it is just a rumor spread by nj.com whose credibility is suspect. Hoping it;s at Nebraska myself for selfish reasons.

Nova, I am aware of that, but per ItalianLion, the Big Ten official had been told preliminarily the next three, and they might have some knowledge. I was responding to that assumption.

I believe the OP has moved the sourcing forward from one-time NJ.com rumor to B1G officials giving B1G refs info:rolleyes:...

only time will tell, but it is probably more accurate to say site has not been “announced” yet, but that it has been internally “determined” at B1G HQ.:)

As for your “selfish reasons”... if you don’t like I-95 traffic, you can always take the Amtrak choochoo train! ;)

Does the Choo Choo stop at Rutgers? If it does that is EXACTLY what I will do. I95 in MD and Delaware are no fun and the NJ Turnpike (and all roads in Jersey) are just as bad. Not to say I'm not used to that since the same is true of roads in the DC area.

As to the credibility of the OP I won't comment. :p

The train goes to New Brunswick and Edison (which is actually closer to the RAC). But neither stop is all that close to the RAC or hotels.

Taking the train is going to make you reliant on uber/cabs/buses/shuttles etc.

Kind of. From DC, you'd take Amtrak to the Metropark station, which is North of Rutgers. Once there, you could take a NJ Transit train from Metropark to New Brunswick (@ 10-15 min). Or, you could take a cab from Metropark to Rutgers (@ 14 miles).

NJ.COM's credibility is suspect?

Retire early, move to State College, take the PSWC Bus...easy peasy :);).

That makes to much sense to me. :D

Tom, you plan on making BIGs when it is at Rutgers? Personally, I don;t think that will actually be 2020, but it could be.
