Despite essentially giving up a pick 6 and crazy stupid penalties PSU is only down 7. Color me shocked - I thought they'd fold when it was 28-10. If they don't shoot themselves in the foot PSU could certainly win.

This game is similar to 2016 vs Wisconsin. If they score on the first possession of the second half, it might give PS confidence to pull out the win.

Oregon has been #1 for half the year. We've been sloppy, undisciplined, and turned the ball over. Still only down by 7.

Penn State's running backs averaged 8.6 yards per run in that first half. Oregon allowed just 3.6 yards per run coming into the day. The Nittany Lions are winning in the trenches tonight so far.
On the play where Singleton was blatantly held on the inside pennant pattern (i.e., shallow flag cut) as Brad Nessler even stated, the reverse angle replay showed the Official looking directly at it and then looks away really quickly and starts walking toward LOS after not throwing a flag. Anyone else know the replay I'm talking about? The Official clearly sees the hold as Belcher literally hits Singleton at the hip and wraps his arms around him as he attempts to make skinny-flag cut - Official absolutely knew it was a penalty and didn't throw a flag, b2g clown crew a complete joke as per usual.
Once we brought pressure, and then tightened up the secondary coverage ... it's been a different ball game. Need to have sure tackling by the LBs and secondary to prevent James from breaking one, and need to tighten up on the slants and I like our chances.

You have the weirdest version of Tourette's I've ever seen.
He just has such poor body position; it’s amazing that he makes any plays. Very seldom does he face up to make a tackle; his body always is st an angle and it’s usually a bad angle.

He could be a true Sam as well. We use him as a Will. He doesn't have LB instincts (probably why his HS played him at DE weighing 195) nor vision. He's a straight line player. He could be a Free Safety, but his tackling would have to improve. With the current 2 year weight gain, edge rusher is my thought as well.

Don't like the time of possession and the penalties. Have to "clean that up."
I thought those would be keys to the game. Concerned about getting gassed in the 4th quarter. We have seen that movie before. Possession MUST be the strategy when you prepare for a game like this.
