Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Penn State versus Oregon in 2024 B1G Championship

About as bad a start as we could have feared.

On the O to move the ball here.

This ain't one of those teams we can afford to sleepwalk the 1st half against as happened on more than one occasion during the regular season.

The lack of the holding call there was irrelevant--a flag may have been thrown if he got away from Tracey
We have way bigger problems right now than crying about the refs--that was the worst possible start
They controlled us in every aspect on that drive

Totally expected.

Oregon showed PSU what PSU has to do in playing ball control.

So far these are all plays that I would have called, but I still want to see more than one tight end on the field at a time. We need size mismatches instead of expecting wide receivers to beat their defensive backs.

AK, please use our strengths. You've got three really good tight ends and no dominant wide receivers.

Our recievers need to step up tonight not good start for Clifford that should have been a catch

Clifford has about 20 targets all year and somehow we run him into triple coverage. Still, Allar got it in there. Killed the drive.

More wide zone. And need a shot deep. 3 DBs standing 8-12 deep staring all drive.

Just rewatched it...it was a harder catch than I initially thought. But he still has to catch that.
It wasn't easy but Allar threw that perfectly--in these games those plays can be the difference between winning and losing
Allar and Nick looked good so some positives--we'll see if the D responds

This is where the lack of dudes up front is a problem...and missing Ford to eat up space. Our front 4 is just ok.
