Expected to win big but favored by 5 at home? Some of you simply try to hard to diminish PSU even before the game. And if we win big, the other team sucks. Some just want to disparage PSU regardless of outcome.
Lines are about betting money nothing else and speaks to people not having confidence in Franklin.
I don't care what the final score is today as long as they win. A loss is unacceptable.
The reality is--Minnesota, especially without Morgan, isn't a good team.

O'Brien could have been the man given different circumstances. Everyone handled that badly, he may have been kind of insufferable but understandable given the crap he had to deal with.

You guys are especially vicious already in the Game Day Tread. Usually we wait until our first ridiculous offensive play or defensive break down, before we fire Franklin and debate his successor.
Some of these guys aren't actually PSU fans. They think our mindset is the same as Ohio St or Michigan fans. It isn't.
All of the talk here about replacing our headcoach is what you get when the coach spends more time promoting himself than improving his team. Sadly James Franklin has brought all of this upon himself. He says hes "all that" but doesn't live up to it.
Personally, I like him and hope he stays here but calms down his self promotion and dedicates himself it's himself to building a tough team that is hard to beat in the trenches. That's Penn State football. If he stays he needs to hire more coordinators like BOB.

We aren't different and never have been. The only difference is you believed "success with honor" which enabled Paterno to keep expectations lower than they would be at other schools. Please step out of the 70s and 80s. Look back and think about things without your blue & white shades on.
I do too, but back then people who got too out of line got banned….and trolls from other teams got banned as well. Now it’s wide open for everyone to pile on.
Yeah, like all those scUM trolls week before last that were saying stupid stuff like "Auburn is not a good team" and "our strengths are your weaknesses". The season is already toast, don't you get that? It is utterly ridiculous that Minny is even in the same stratosphere as PSU. We should curb stomp every opponent and then play scUM and O$U toe to toe beating them 75% of the time. Win 2 nattys every 4 years. Who is our coach? No clue but def not Franklin and generally our coach is someone else who is not the current coach the first time we have to punt. Our coach's winning percentage is 90%. Got the playbook down?

Meltdown of epic proportions. Even a win by 7 points will not be tolerated. In fact, any win is not good enough. We totally blew it last week. No coming back from that, all is lost.

This is college football. Everyone rebuilds after each season, some are just better at it.
As you guys may have seen, Tanner Morgan was in initial warmups for Minnesota but it did seem that he was not loosening up as much as the other quarterbacks. We'll find out very soon. Minnesota has headed back, we'll find out when they come back out.

They should have fired everyone 2 years ago but they went totally stupid in the other direction.
I'm not the one on here preaching about how we are the absolute best program in CFB and showing 0 respect for others. Why would I consider this game a showcase when the other 51 weeks of the year I see nothing the least bit positive about our opponent's abilities? When did MN suddenly become a "showcase" opponent? Some of you are still blathering on about how bad the MI program is and what a low-life they have for a coach. Make up your minds.
