Gary Steen

Does anyone know if the handle TomRyan is available? Asking for a friend

I do hope that with Gary now coming to Penn State he knows that means his dad has to post "one" obligatory post to this forum per season. Please "Two" per season if you are not on the roster for any one match. That will cut down on the 15 concurrent threads of Where is Gary Steen?

I really do appreciate the occasional post by Mr, Brooks or now Mr. Kerkvliet and nothing soothes the savage beasts on this board than "a letter from home".

The only crying I've seen lately are the "fans" Robby Howard told to relax. Did you notice the other difference this match with Murin and Carr? Murin looks like the better wrestler now. No longer "even" imo. Max just has to keep focusing on how to finish those slick attacks and he will find the podium come March

Carr is over-rated and a jerk. Murin is solid. Definitely AA material now.

Murin does look real solid this year! Hopefully not as solid as the one we finally send out this year! :)
Hes definitely seems to have ascended where carr has plateaued.

Good for him. Always wish pa guys the best

Murin looks good but let's not forget that Carr missed all of last year because of injury, didn't wrestle a single match. Had lots of injuries in his career, good to see him back out there in either case as there were rumors his career could be over.

"Could" Steen's flip to PSU, and our taking him in have even the slightest indication that Robby's shoulder recovery has issues?

I hope not. If we see him in the next few weeks, the question may be answered, but Suriano was down in the room wrestling right now. Until we see him I won't be convinced.

I am in the camp that Howard won't hold 125 more than a year or two at best so we needed to keep recruiting open anyway.

I am also in the camp that shoulder injuries and wrestling are arch enemies and you simply never know if the next match will be the one to reinjure. There were also many others who thought Howard would sit out this year in recovery.

Another factor, we don't have the best history of guys coming back (shy Nolf) from significant injury and performing well out of the gate. I think as a true freshman, if he is to make and impact in the tourney he needs to go against at least 6-10 college level guys before nationals, ideally 3-4 against top ten guys to gain his sea legs.

I definitely would not throw him out there vs Spencer regardless, he nearly takes out shoulders every match wrenching over his arm bars.

Didn’t Te Shan Campbell transfer to OSU about a day after NCAAs?

Exactly, are we supposed to believe there was no recruiting going on in St Louis? Convenient that the Buckeyes had a hole at 165 that year,

Also as I recall, after McKenna decommitted from Stanford that same year he was already working out in Columbus while 'supposedly' picking his next school. Convenient that the Buckeyes had a hole at 141 that year.

And what about Orndorff, he was at Utah Valley until he suddenly wasn't. Seemed like a quick turn around, almost as though he already knew his next stop. Convenient that the Buckeyes had a hole at hwt this year.

There is something about Ryan that I appreciate, but his ability to be hypocritically hyper judgemental isn't it.

Moatly not true.

First, McKenna did not decommit from Stanford -- he wrestled there 2 yrs (including a 3rd place finish) before transferring.

Second, it's true that McKenna spent time in Columbus before the transfer. He also spent significant time at Lehigh (which was among his transfer finalists). In fact, that's where he first started working out.

There's no indication that Tan Tom poached while McKenna was still in Palo Alto.

JJag was incredibly defensive and dickish on twitter when people noted the Campbell coincidences

You good?

Was watching Willie's show today and he brought the tantom tweet up and stated that he (Willie) posted a dumb tweet after that basically said "shots fired at Cael" and he admittedly took it down pretty quickly bc he did not want Cael to think he was agreeing with Ryan. He did say that minutes after he posted his tweet Gary's father responded to Willie with a screen shot of Gary's NLI status and it shows that he signed on 11-11-2021 and asked for his release on 12-18-2021 and was granted it. TanTom is getting some bad info as usual.

The conspiracy lives, @Str8DBLz posted here 6 days before the release.
I'm hearing of a possible 125 pulling a commitment and entering the portal. Would love to see this multi time state champ in the Blue n white for his entire career!

Tan tom lives in a bubble of his own making. I think it would be interesting to know how many other coaches seek out his council and friendship.
