You probably saw Gesicki broke Mickey Shuler's record yesterday, and that is a real honor because Shuler was probably the greatest receiving TE ever at PSU.
But what I wanted to note (after rewatching the game today) was that Gesicki had some excellent blocks. Did a great job taking two MSU players out of the play on a 20 yard run by Andre Robinson in the 3rd quarter. And then right after Gesicki caught his TD, he came across formation and nailed the MSU defensive end, giving McSorley room to throw the 2nd TD to Godwin that iced the game.
Mike has turned into a real warrior. He's playing at an all-B10 level and if he can keep improving and stays healthy he will get AA consideration next year. Great example of a player who really needed a redshirt year but had to play before was really ready because of injuries and lack of depth.
