there is no east coast team like PSU to capture eyeballs and that's what its all about.....
I'd say #26 is a big reason for the national attention, certainly not the only thing, but he's made for TV star.Lots of buzz for PSU after the B1G Championship and Rose Bowl. People want to see more. And they won't be disappointed.
You could have left that off the thread! So what major network is broadcasting the Youngstown State-Pedsburgh Panthers game?
Yeah, I think the media is ready to run with a storyline of Heisman Trophy -- Saquon Barkley vs Sam DarnoldMore games on national television means Barkley's chances at the Heisman keep rising.
All the team needs to do is take care of business on the scoreboard to be where we want to be - but Barkley needs to both take care of business on the stat sheet AND do it when the country is watching.
Trick play to start the game.............I formation, toss right, touchdown!
I know...............
So, apparently some information got out today about the Big Ten TV deal.
So, we'll know the broadcast details for the Pitt and Georgia State games on May 31. We'll also at least know the kickoff time for the Rutgers game (homecoming).
The interesting thing is that night games for the Big Ten will no longer be announced before the season (besides the first three weeks of the season). Those games will be announced as part of the 12 day picks -- however, they must be announced by 12 days out, the 6 day holds can't be used for night games.
Another interesting thing that has come out is that apparently all Big Ten controlled night games will kickoff at 7:30 PM ET. This is a Big Ten specific thing; other conference will continue to be at 8:00 PM. I would think this is a concession the Big Ten got in order to have games not end quite so late.
Thanks for posting this. Very good information to have. It sounds like we won't know what time any game is from Iowa to the end of the season other than Rutgers until 12 days before the game. Sounds like they aren't allowed to announce more than 12 days out? Or is it that they have to announce at least 12 days out and it could be more than that?
