Football is so much different than basketball. Many more recruits. I get where you are going with this but it is not correct.
PSU competes directly with OSU for a lot of recruits. If you don't think getting one of them over OSU(as national champs) is beneficial I would guess you are just full of shit.

The only thing that will help PSU hoops is better players. Bigger front line players that can actually play, etc.

Yes - get some PLAYERS and BIGS. I "think" help is on the way from this year's freshman class.

It doesn't hurt - but it's also not the first time this conference has put two in the Final Four.
PSU will turn around when the administration decides that they would rather have a winner than put in zero effort and collect a check for a loser. Fortunately, I think the new AD cares at least a little bit.

True, Greg, but we weren't really trying to be good before and now we're really, really, really trying. Seriously, I am one of those who thinks being in the Big Ten won't mean a damn thing to our recruiting efforts. Winning half the games in conference would do a lot more.

After watching Kentucky vs. Cincinnati and Notre Dame, I am virtually certain Wisconsin is going to beat them.

it would not surprise me, especially after watching ND play them.
still I am kinda pulling for the chance to see an undefeated.
I think 2 BIG teams helps all the conference a bit during recruiting. The coming cost of attendance numbers also help. The BIG east wont have that $$$$ to throw around. over time this will help PSU.

I get where the OP was going, and it was sort of funny. But basketball is different tan football. The media still can hype conferences, but at the end of the season 68 teams have a chance to show who is best, and by extension, conferences can show how they stack up despite the hype. In football, even with the new playoff format, media hype still plays a part, and only 4 teams have a chance at the end. And those 4 teams are chosen by a committee.
