I hope I don't get clobbered here. lol.

I grew up, went to school and live in the State College area but having neighbors growing up, one of them is an ND alumn, they sucked me in back in the late 80's, early 90's to Notre Dame football. Back when they were good all the time, so as a kid, it was easy to be a fan. Then came the dark days... lol. I'm always torn as I root for both teams, until they play each other and then my heart has to be with the Irish. lol.

I've been to two PSU/ND contests over the years. The first time ever in ND stadium was the famous Snow Bowl in 92. Our seats were in the end zone and I remember it snowing so hard that at one point, with PSU wearing their all white away uni's, you had a hard time seeing them on the field. I do remember seeing two old coots, (joe and Lou) pacing the sidelines, one in his famous bell bottom pants and one kneeling, picking grass nervously like he did. Just a neat experience and one I'll never forget. Second game was at Beaver Stadium and PSU blew the irish out.

This matchup tomorrow night is a dream come true in many ways. Two old school programs. Ive been fired up for this game since we realized who it was going to be.

That said, I don't believe ND has enough in the tank to beat State. ND injuries are pretty out of control at the moment, even though the backups have played well on defense especially most of the year. PSU has too many offensive weapons to account for and I believe spreading ND out and spreading the ball around will be a major issue for ND to defend. I think ND will try to minimize Warrens production but give up big plays and critical conversions to do so. States offense is better than UGA, even with their starting QB (i'd argue that Stockton is better, but I digress).

I think it may be a close game for about 2 1/2 quarters, but in the end, PSU is too much offensively and seals the game late. Anyway, here's to a great game and most importantly NO injuries, especially for the victor who moves on to most likely play OSU.
