Don't call it a comeback, we've been here for years.
Yes! Rutgers last 3 games show they are very, very bad. Offensively, Penn State has been somewhat consistent as far as scoring points. PSU's defense has been playing pretty consistent, except for last weeks game where the Indiana pass game had our DB's on their heels. If Rutgers wins, it would be considered a big, flukey, upset win!Fluke definition: "A fluke is a lucky or improbable occurrence, with the implication that the occurrence could not be repeated."
Although Ohio State had more yards, 413 vs. 276 and 1st downs 19 to 13, these are not dominating stats where it's an "improbable occurrence." So I agree with everyone here. Teams regularly win when they are out gained by their opponent. So it's not an improbable occurrence when it happens many times a week in college football.
Now, I'm an RU fan, and I have a question: Will you guys call it a fluke if RU wins tonight?

Penn State, like it will be for Rutgers tonight, was Indiana's BIG home game! Becoming bowl eligible, recruits all over the place, and playing a top 10 team. Just like the 2nd half at Purdue (17-17 tie at half, outscored PU 45-7 in 2nd half), we were tied at the half (14-14), fell behind 24-14, and then outscored Indy 31-7! That could be replayed again tonight. I just feel PSU has too much depth right now, and will wear Rutgers down by the middle of the 2nd half. Rutgers needs to keep the game CLOSE early on. Any quick scoring by the Nittany Lions, and this game could/will get out of hand early.I'll give you that one of the three we were very, very bad. We lost to a decent Minnesota team on the road on a last second FG and we had 372 yards of offense and 22 1st downs. We were also beating IU by 9 midway through the 3rd quarter; a team PSU struggled with.
On the whole OSU "fluke thing", do you honestly believe OSU would not beat us 4 out of 5 times if we did a series?

I have to take a Mad Dog and wipe my Francessa. He's a completely manufactured product, like most of them. Big baseball guy, has always been on record that he hates college football, which is fine, but it doesn't stop him from blathering on about it. His whole shtick is about screaming.
