Well, that was certainly an interesting first half.
The Nittany Lions lead the Tigers 14-10 at the break. Sean Clifford is 16 of 20 for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw his first interception late in the first half and took a big hit and was the first to run into the locker room. I think he's fine, but it'll be worth watching.
A few thoughts:
--That the referees and Penn State's bench missed that the Lions punted on what was called fourth down but actually third down still baffles me. That was odd.
--Clifford looked really good, I thought, minus that late pick and a couple of bad misses. You'll take that from No. 14 every half.
--The tight ends appeared! Brenton Strange has a touchdown grab, and Theo Johnson played well.
--How about that Jahan Dotson pass to Tyler Warren? Neat wrinkle.
--Brandon Smith has been all over the place tonight. Seven tackles so far and a near-interception.
--So far, so good with Jordan Stout.
