Hand is gone

He can cook his bbq in the south now where he belongs. Malzahn is his best friend.

Not defending Hand, but he got so much crap on Social Media from our fan base it was pretty sickening. I remember even someone took a shot at his daughter. I don't know if that person was a Penn Stater tho.

Good Luck Coach.

You were actually a total class act here.

Well, I don't do the social media nonsense but if you think he had it bad social media wise here- good luck to him in the lion's den of the SEC where it will be orders of magnitude worse. ;)

While CJF was just his friend.

I hope that CJF does look deeply at what he needs to be. He needs to NOT be all of his coaches friends, rather he needs to be their BOSS. I think things were much more laid back @ Vandy for them all. @PSU going 9-3 is not considered to be a successful season. The expectations here are to be competing for the division and conference title EVERY year, and being part of the national championship conversation.

I think CJF spent most of last year trying to keep the ship upright. This year he probably expected much better results (8+ wins), and found out that what he has (mainly on the offensive side) was not cutting it. He probably cut Donovan lose knowing it would send a signal to the others. I'm still not sure why Shoop left, but I can understand losing 3 players to the NFL on DL probably has something to do with it.

CJF needs to show us that who he has in his rolodex are upgrades from what we had.
