What's crazy to me is some teams scheduled a match on Friday..thats some BS! Let them have a day to eat!
P.S--I never wrestled..played football so never had to cut weight. What is standard operating procedure for college wrestlers? Are they allowed to have one good Thanksgiving meal and then work it off in the next week or do they eat next to nothing? I can't imagine not stuffing myself on Thanksgiving!

My boys have birthdays in mid-December and January 1. Their birthday meals during wrestling season were great for me. Not so much for them.

The only reason I go to family get-togethers is so when other smaller families show up with a male member, I can comedically-observe: "Oh, I see you brought the turkey..."
It's hilarious every time. I don't know why it's funny. I don't know why anyone feels offended to be called a turkey. I laugh every time.

I have a friend at work who graduated from college last spring. This will be his first Thanksgiving in 10-12 years where he doesn't have to worry about eating too much. He can't wait until tomorrow!
Thanks to everyone who contributes here, it's fun watching this team and this sport with you all. And eat tomorrow like you don't have to make weight for a year.

Penn State Wrestling and BWI....two of the many things of which I am truly thankful for on this wonderful day when we’ll sit down for our traditional dinner of procuitto & turkey lasagna.

My favorite holiday was always Easter as I could eat as much as I wanted ... even if it meant bumping up an extra weight class for Spring tournaments. Christmas was the worst with T-Day a close second. Always tried to eat reasonably and then go for a long run. Not exactly how you'd like to spend a Holiday but gotta do what ya gotta do to make weight. #focusonthegoal
