I've read several times that he (Vrabel) hates kissing 17-18 year olds' butts but with NIL now in the picture, will he have to do that going forward like was the case in past years ?

I'd say it's worse now. You have to recruit your team every year. Every player. Yeah, it's easier to cut the ones who don't produce now, but it's a tightrope keeping starters, 2 deep and depth.

I thought that the B1G has a rule in place that once a kid is on scholarship, he can't be cut even if he doesn't play

I know they used to. Not sure if it exists now. Key thing is, portal exists. When coach tells you that you will never play, you have an option. No more mysterious medical retirements.

To be fair, McAfee hyped up Greene that most who didn't follow WVU closely would think that even though it was Greene that got Brown fired

Greene was always ineffective--and, yes, he got Brown fired. Had Brown stayed with Marchiol they may win their last two games but he lost his team by going to the weaker QB
I'm not sure how there's even an argument anymore that I was wrong. Things played out exactly how I said they would.

Greene got Brown fired because they lost more games than they should have under the QB play ? Or are you saying and have knowledge that Greene went to the AD and said.."Hi..as the starting QB here at WVU and I demand that Brown get fired?" ?

Greene got him fired because of Browns refusal to move on from him. I'm not sure how that wasn't clear but I'll take the blame.

Had Brown left Greene on the bench he'd be coaching in 2025.

No, you're just bent on trashing Greene and picking on everything he does wrong, as if he's not allowed to make mistakes. But you conveniently don't mention the game last night where he was nearly spectacular and that's not a stretch. But I know you'll harp on that one INT at the end of the game. You ignore the comeback against Kansas or the OSU game. He won many games for us. He only had 4 INT's last year.
Brown was the problem. Period! The play calling was even better last night with Chad Scott, especially after he got away from being too conservative in the beginning, which he admitted. NO ONE agrees with you. I haven't seen anywhere, on our boards, this board, national writers, anywhere who say the same things you do. You say you're not the only one but you don't say who agrees with you.

He's allowed to make mistakes. He's inaccurate as you know and he regressed this year from the subpar QB he was last year. A ton of people agree with me. Google Marchiol and see how many people were begging for him to start. Greene was complete garbage and WVU fans should be glad he's gone and tool Brown with him
