I would have called it and everyone watching with me agreed.
Where do you fall on it?I'm going to go out on a limb and say 100% of PSU fans say he was stuck. That ref better explain himself

Well make up your mind.I won't say that it was definitely a fall.
However, it did appear that he was stuck, given that the lower scapula was on the mat for several seconds. It should also be noted the ref doing the match struggled throughout the tournament.
So an offensive fall = question sec, but a defensive fall = 2 sec?I do agree that a defensive fall should be a second longer than an offensive one but the Iowa match posters were saying 9 seconds. Nuts.
While this is true, it also doesn't matter. If Eierman stuck himself, he's still stuck. He was put in that position by the work of the NC State wrestler. The fall should have been called. He was flat on and off for about 9 seconds. A lack of fortitude on the part of the ref.
Unless "poorwrestler" is Eierman, disappointing thread.
And if you say he wasn't you don't know wrestlingI'm going to go out on a limb and say 100% of PSU fans say he was stuck. That ref better explain himself
It's right after the rules on how to call stalling! So an offensive fall = question sec, but a defensive fall = 2 sec?
Where is that in the rules?
Yeah....but the guy was from Michigan State........not the cornfieldsI also didn't see it live but just going off of other posts.
As to setting it up and the guts for the ref to call it, just go back and watch Teague Moore, North Allegheny boy Wrestling for Oklahoma State in the NCAAs 1998 118lb class (billrag) against undefeated David Morgan out of Michigan St.
It was a defensive fall from Neutral.
Moore took what was there and used it.
It was the NCAA finals and the ref had the stones to call the falls.
I do agree that a defensive fall should be a second longer than an offensive one but the Iowa match posters were saying 9 seconds. Nuts.
Hard to call anything a 100% deal unless your talking about the chances of my being banned on HR again. Really though, alot of Hawk fans are saying he was stuck as well.I'm going to go out on a limb and say 100% of PSU fans say he was stuck. That ref better explain himself
Intent plus 2 seconds. Let’s put that in the rule book just for more gross misinterpretation and enforcement. While this is true, it also doesn't matter. If Eierman stuck himself, he's still stuck.
And, yes, he was stuck.
Or for Eierman: intent + ref drinks a beer + ref belches + 2 sec.Intent plus 2 seconds. Let’s put that in the rule book just for more gross misinterpretation and enforcement.
He appears to me to be trying to read Eierman's lips, possibly about where to pickup the lunchbag of $$$.What in God's name is he concentrating on if not a defensive pin?
And where can I pick up that application to take the officiating test again?Or for Eierman: intent + ref drinks a beer + ref belches + 2 sec.
HR can steer you to the right office at CHA.And where can I pick up that application to take the officiating test again?
We also unanimously thought Evans had Perry stuck.I'm going to go out on a limb and say 100% of PSU fans say he was stuck. That ref better explain himself
no lol the complaint you’re looking for is that ref called a quick pin against wilsonDidnt Wilson have him flat at Nats last year too?
Same ref?
Almost as bad lolno lol the complaint you’re looking for is that ref called a quick pin against wilson
Jimmy’s was in a neutral scramble, right? but still…Maybe we should ask Jimmy Gulibon for his opinion? Or maybe Sammy Brooks?
Am trying to remember, but didn't an OKIE State wrestler win by defensive fall over a PSU opponent at MatTown many years ago?
