Herbie on fire!

Completely disagree
Of course you do. You are biased toward the unbiased viewpoint, which is in line with the 2002 Persimmons Theory, as repostulated by the late Max Grutenout. The fact that you deny it, or ignore it, is consistent with both the 2010 Blakely Study, and the 2015 Songolly Corollary.:)

Why won't he win it? Because he's not good enough or because of the anti-Penn State bias?
Because he won't get the hype that someone else will....the Heisman is about hype (see Lamar Jackson and Johnny Manziel). How can you or anyone else say he's not good enough when he hasn't played the season yet? Was KiJana or LJ not good enough? Yet they didn't win it....gee, I wonder why.

Or he's just an arrogant ass.

So, the anti-Penn State bias...gotcha

It helps that the B1G didn't have a team in the playoffs. The BiG has traditionally played up a level but not this year. Look at the games involving ranked teams:
  • No. 16 Michigan State 42, No. 18 Washington State 17
  • No. 21 Northwestern 24, Kentucky 23
  • No. 5 Ohio State 24, No. 8 USC 7
  • No. 9 Penn State 35, No. 11 Washington 28
  • No. 6 Wisconsin 34, No. 10 Miami 24
In every case the B1G team was the higher ranked team. If a BiG team had made the playoffs this wouldn't have been the case. Still quite impressive though.
