Yep, Shazier turned out to be a devastating loss for the teamNo linebackers behind them either

It's not a thought it's a fact, supercrap.
I'll remember you next week, sweetheart.
He doesn’t practice any discipline and his team reflects itTomlin is simply not a good coach. Bad game day decisions and can’t keep his players from shooting off their mouths and talking about contracts when they still have work to do. Heck, he couldn’t control himself from talking about a Pats/Steelers AFC championship leading up to their regular season game. If he can’t exercise self control, how can he control his team. Steelers were the most talented team in the AFC (at least offensively) and were built to beat the Pats, except for their head coach. Also, I think Haley has to go.
I'm thrilled, supercrap.
Supercrap...hilarious. You are either 12 years old, 80 years old, or a slow adult. I'm guessing it is the later. I'm also guessing you won't be "thrilled" after next Sunday.
There’s a big flaw in Tomlin’s Onside kick logic. The league-wide success rate is 20%. I have to think the odds of a Steelers stop on D we’re higher than 20%.Yeah, the inside kick was questionable, but the jags were getting 4-5 yards every carry so it’s not like a 3 and out was very likely. My goodness though, that onside kick was f****** atrocious.
The big surprise for me was how overmatched the steeler dline was. They got man handled.
Well where the hell were you when tomlin needed you. Because he should have kicked it away. 10th dumbest thing they did on the day .There’s a big flaw in Tomlin’s Onside kick logic. The league-wide success rate is 20%. I have to think the odds of a Steelers stop on D we’re higher than 20%.
Just a quick look at the game drive summaries shows Jax went 3 and out on 4 of 11 drives. So the odds say 36% chance of a stop while kicking deep vs 20% for the onsides kick.
And that ignores the fact that the onsides kick allows Jax to attempt a FG without getting a first down.
I think Tomlin and Halley are arrogant in thier game planning and in game coaching decisions.
And he stated that at the post game press conference. Pathetic. It's sad to think that my head coach gave up on our team today. But that's what Tomlin did at the 2:15 Mark of the game. He called an onside kick because he gave up on the defense.
Wait..Tomlin actually admitted to giving up on his defense? And he stated that at the post game press conference. Pathetic.
Juju was held badly on that fourth down play. That could have been a TD without the hold. The pass was perfectI don't know if was Haley or Ben who called it, but those two 4th and inches plays where they failed to convert on a toss to Bell and pass to Juju were killers. You have a 6' 5" 240lb QB and you can't get enough push to pick up a foot on a sneak?
Agree 100%.He doesn’t practice any discipline and his team reflects it
Well steelers and Penn state do not run qb sneaks. Stubborn or stupid! Most basic play of all in football. Is it to old school to be cool? Well first downs are cool in my book.
Always good to see Steelers lose. Now if someone can just stop Patriots from going on to win SB.
He doesn’t practice any discipline and his team reflects it
They are moving the ball now. Nice drive so far.
Never mind. They royally screwed up on 4th and 1.
Held the entire time and caught it. What is up with the rule for interference theee days
Utterly stupid plAy call on 4th down.
We need pressure. Can’t beleive theyncant pressure the guy to make a mistake
Both coordinators need to go. Just can’t beleive the 3rd down conversion rate with no pressure on bortles. Maybe we should lose because i can’t go through this again against Brady
They did.Yea that CB for the Jags was holding and grabbing all day.
Maybe the Steelers D should have tried that. SMH.
I suspected as much...but now I'm convinced Tomlin does not know football. The onside kick is the absolute wrong decision.
That onside kick just made absolutely NO sense whatsoever.
Anyone seen Jesse James lately? Injured today?
Not sure if you're kidding, but you left out "he's awful," which is the correct answer. If he is on the Steelers roster next year, I will out-Mitchell him and guarantee the Steelers will not make the Super Bowl. How good is Mike Mitchell? He hits hard, talks a lot but is he average or better than average?
It was idiotic. The Steelers' last successful onside kick was more than 10 years ago. The odds of a successful onside kick have to be infinitesimal. The Steelers at least held the Jags to one 3 and out earlier in the game -- and then did so after the onside kick. The only problem was it was in game-clinching FG territory. It kind of did. I don't think Tomlin had any faith in his defense being able to stop them, I know I didnt.
My perspective is two-fold. First, even though the defense was not making stops all day, the odds of making a stop are better than recovering an onside kick. Second, Tomlin basically gave up on his defense. And as head coach, you should never give up on your team. You have to at least give the defense a shot at it.Most times I would agree with what you said but I think Tomlin knew his defense wasn't going to stop them, I mean they hadn't all day so I'm actually ok with the onside kick. Now if you want to talk about the execution of it. Geesh it looked like a highschool on side kick. Pathetic.
