Hope Haskins goes pro next year.....

I believe in the saying that it’s more advantageous to be better than to wish for the struggle to be easier. That said, I wouldn’t complain if both were true (Penn State improved and tOSU and Michigan down) next year and beyond.

Nothing we can do about it either way. Our defense will be very good next year even if he is back.

It would not be shocking to see Urban retire at the end of the season. His health issues are clearly bothering him

It would not shock me at all. It's a little weird, though, that his first retirement from Florida happened in the exact same way. A (different) health issue was disclosed during the season and then he retired after the season.

IMHO, it’s not that Urby will be stepping down, it’s a matter of WHEN does he make the announcement in relation to LOI Day(s).

You consistently recruit well and develop well, and just keep on rolling.

Haskins may be the worst college QB they have had in the Urban era. He is the product of the system and the athletes around him. His guys were open today by 10-20 yards, tons of blown coverages.
All his yards in happy valley were after the catch. I just don't see a pro QB, maybe it is just me.

He was very fortunate in the game against PSU this year. He threw that one ball up for grabs all the way across the field and Victor went up and got it and turned it into a TD. Ugh.

Wow. You really have no idea what you are watching. He is the best QB O$U has had in my life time. He broke the BIG record for single season passing TDs with 41! He fit balls in to spots perfectly today and his team put up more than 50 offensive points on a national top 5 defense who held us to 7. I hope he goes pro. If he doesn’t we won’t beat them next year in the Shoe.

If he is really as good as you say, why wouldn't he go pro?

Honestly he looked pretty mediocre vs. PSU.

I said college QB for a reason, JT Barrett had 47 total touchdowns just last year. Guys can be tremendous college QBs, but not be NFL QBs. Rushing gives QBs such an edge in college.

The TDs were not tight NFL windows.

Michigan might have a top 5 defense, but it skipped the trip to Columbus.

20 of the TDs came against these 4 opponents Rutgers, Indiana, Tulane, and Oregon State. Not exactly a ton of NFL level talent.

All that sounds like I am down on Haskins, but he is a good QB. I just don't believe he is near ready to be an NFL QB. They are not going to have some big drop off because he stays or goes.
