I'll take a stab it it.

All I know is that in speaking with Kathleen Kane and Bruce Castor, I was told that when Kane took office, "the Feds" told her that "they" would have anything to do with Second Mile and that Geoff Moulton was to stick to how the Sandusky Investigation was handled in his report.

Kane took office in January 2013. She and Moulton made good on their report. The Feds were supposed to be investigating Second Mile. As you know, the Feds don't tell you anything. So Moulton is done, no news is good news Kane assumes and life goes on.

Castor then has us complaining in April of 2016 about the lack of any credible investigation into Second Mile, takes those complaints to Kane, they decide to put a team together, he makes that public in July 2016, and voilà, the General Assembly cuts their summer vacation short returning from Avalon, Stone Harbor and wherever else they are and pushes Castor from office.

And here we are today.

I have a working theory/speculation about why 2nd mile was supposedly looked into by the FBI but nothing happened. Supposedly there are some higher ups at the FBI that have been sitting on their hands if not outright obstructing investigations re: pedos and pedo rings.

Director Comey getting fired and a new AG being brought in are the first few steps in removing these roadblocks. Another roadblock is the current Acting director McCabe is also neck deep in this. A few busts have already been made but once a new director is appointed we'll really see the pedo ring busting ratchet up.

This could be coincidence but lets look at the timing.

5/9/17 - Comey fired

5/19/17 - Anthony Weiner is charged with child sexting and he pleads guilty shortly after that.

5/26/17 - Jacob Schwartz (president of manhattan young democrats and staffer for current NYC mayor De Balsio) is arrested on child porn charges. Did Weiner rat him out?

5/26/17 - FBI raids OH Adoption agency over child sex trafficking ring (why didnt the fbi ever raid the 2nd mile when the JS story broke - JS was committing crimes across state lines??)

I'm not saying that I believe in a pedogate type conspiracy but if there was one it would explain the complete lack of interest by the FBI in properly looking into 2nd mile if fbi higher ups were running cover. There's simply too much smoke coming from the 2nd mile for there not to be at LEAST one 2nd mile person charged with EWOC, FTR, etc. but we saw zero charges from PA and the fbi re: 2nd mile officials.

It reeks of political cover. No excuse for the FBI not going into TSM and turning it upside down looking for evidence etc back in 2011/12.

But both Phila Inquirer reporters - Susan Snyder & Angela Couloumbis - were at Spanier's trial. They watched what went down. I discussed Second Mile with them, the out of program contact, Raykovitz's flippant "just wear swim trunks" remark, etc in the building foyer.

These women are fully aware of the other aspects of the story, which include the political climate & BoT dysfunction. I have told them both flat out that "in my dreams you women at the Inquirer dig down and tell this story."

Seems to me this entire debacle that torched Joe's legacy, cost the university $250M or more, and smeared a wide swath of people across the commonwealth and beyond, is because these guys either can't seem to keep their pants zipped up and/or they had a raging hard-on for someone or something, both figuratively and literally - and the media is unwilling to address that.
