NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A TOUCHBACK !!!!!
Visiting team has choice of bringing their own officials - e.g., b1g Turd Officials and a sadly typically "homer call" that was beyond obvious to anybody not hailing from a-holeville, errrrr, I mean homerville b1g Turd Country.
I spotted no less than 5 baloney calls against Utah, fortunately none of them mattered, but the punt call was hilarious. The ball was clearly past
I went back and watched the replay. Ref is standing at the pylon, and he looks to his left to watch the ball come past him. It's not possible for him to have to look left for the ball, while standing at the pylon, unless the ball was already out of bounds before it got to the goal line. Joke.
EXACTLY - He's standing at the pylon.....to his left, it's out of bounds, to his right, it's a touchback. It's way way way to his left.
They showed an overhead view about a minute after the play, the ball went out of bounds about the 5-7 yard line.
IT WASN"T EVEN CLOSE TO A TOUCHBACK.
No matter how the weekend plays out, that has to be one of the top 2-3 worst calls we'll see this week.
The crew in the Michigan game was from the PAC 12We're talking Big Ten officials here. Anything is possible.

Don't confuse them with facts. Its all part of a vast conspiracy
That's what I would have thought but noticed that the one linesman (or whatever) was a woman. I don't think the Big Ten has one of that flavor but I think the Pac Ten does.Is that true? I thought I read/heard that the Big Ten was officiating this game, per Michigan's rights as the visiting team.

They're an Independent Crew - the Referee on the crew, Steve Strimling, primarily does Arena Football Games.
