That's not good. Hate to see talent thrown away. I'll hold judgment till all the facts are out. If being a PSU Alum has taught me anything, it's not to believe every initial headline.
Innocent till proven guilty. That’s why I refer to it as a rumor.
Obviously not a good situation, but I'm withholding judgement until some details come out. Innocent until proven guilty and all.

Someone already has it as their new avatar over on HR. I know I shouldn't have, but chuckled when I saw it. Those guys are consistent if anything.

Details are starting to emerge on the local news where the story is blowing up. Arrests followed a 911 call reporting a sexual assault "with an object." Steveson and his teammate were arrested in separate locations the next day following a police search of the house where the incident was reported. I don't believe charges have been officially filed yet.
Hate to see this. First and foremost for any victims of a crime. Secondly for any bad life decisions that could have long-standing negative consequences for those involved.
A friend of mines son was convicted of a sexual act with an object and he has been in a VA state jail for 4 years had multiple appeals fail and has several more years to go
The kid was HS stud athlete, great grades, scholarship to college, was involved in community and his church.....model kid some might say.
But a bad night with booze (which muddied all the stories) and his life will never be the same.
He needs a damn good defense attorney, I guess is my point.
Really glad Gwiz won the world team spot. This would've been a cloud over the team this year whether or not Steveson is eventually exonerated.
I don't know any of the facts, but I sure hope those guys don't find themselves subject to the same circumstances that befell the guys at Duke University. Real sexual assault is a very serious matter, but so is the assumption of guilt based solely on an accusation.
Blue Mountain State might be more appropriate.
While everyone is innocent until proven guilty and false accusations can happen, the reality is that statistically speaking FAR more sexual assaults go unreported than are drummed up out of nowhere. And it's not even close.
