HR rumor not good for the Goofers

Yikes, looks like some serious criminal allegations that triggered those warrants and arrests.

It's obviously a bad situation for them to be in but there's nothing to even speculate about since there are no details other than the charge itself.

Obviously not a good situation, but I'm withholding judgement until some details come out. Innocent until proven guilty and all.

Hate to see that. Hope it isn’t true. If it is, seems like Gable is learning the wrong things in college. I’m up here in Hennepin Co now (the fishing on LotW was otherworldly!)—if the local press has more info, I’ll pass it along.

Details are starting to emerge on the local news where the story is blowing up. Arrests followed a 911 call reporting a sexual assault "with an object." Steveson and his teammate were arrested in separate locations the next day following a police search of the house where the incident was reported. I don't believe charges have been officially filed yet.

Hate to see this. First and foremost for any victims of a crime. Secondly for any bad life decisions that could have long-standing negative consequences for those involved.

Thanks. I'll then safely speculate that they need criminal defense attorneys.

A friend of mines son was convicted of a sexual act with an object and he has been in a VA state jail for 4 years had multiple appeals fail and has several more years to go

The kid was HS stud athlete, great grades, scholarship to college, was involved in community and his church.....model kid some might say.

But a bad night with booze (which muddied all the stories) and his life will never be the same.

He needs a damn good defense attorney, I guess is my point.

In one report I just saw the reporter had spoken to one of the fathers, who said his son believed charges would not be filed. FWIW.

I'll further speculate, based only on seeing similar facts play out, that we're headed toward a discussion on the meaning of consent.

I don't know any of the facts, but I sure hope those guys don't find themselves subject to the same circumstances that befell the guys at Duke University. Real sexual assault is a very serious matter, but so is the assumption of guilt based solely on an accusation.
