HR rumor not good for the Goofers

This is NOT looking good for gable. Being reported that he held down another team-mate at Martinez's house during a hazing act.

I would throw this Hot take, that Str8DBLz threw out there with his “credible” source that he always brings to the board, as another downer to this thread. Otherwise it has been fairly on topic with good and respectable discussion. HR on their other hand!

has there been any news concerning this? I am thinking not, I have not seen any thing on Flo or any where else..any have any updates???

Gable is going to Medved soon. The little birdies chirping around my way are saying that they charges were dropped the next week. I don't mean to imply anything by that.

They were never charged; so there were no charges to drop. They were held while under suspicion pending an investigation. My memory from an earlier story is that MN will close an open investigation after 90 days if no charges, which would be mid-September.

They could close it before then, but I imagine they already told the purported victim that she had 90 days to agree to cooperate/testify or they'd close the book, so I'd be surprised if they did that. I'd further infer that if they were certain the purported victim made the story up from whole cloth they'd have already closed it. Which isn't to assess her credibility--we know practically nothing. But DAs are reluctant to charge without victim's cooperation and sometimes are reluctant even with their cooperation.

I love having a resident attorney on this board.

so you are implying she didn't make the story up
Cali wasn't implying anything; and I wasn't implying that. My inference was based only on pattern recognition.

Somewhere on the continuum between the wrestlers being absolutely guilty at one end and the accuser having made up a story from whole cloth at the other, both which are theoretically possible, the police and DA's conduct to this point indicates some degree of uncertainty. I.e., if they were certain of their guilt they'd have charged, but they haven't; and if they were certain the accuser was fabricating they'd close the investigation, but so far as I'm aware they haven't. If those assumptions are accurate, then it's possible, perhaps likely (based on how these things typically go) that the accuser has decided against cooperating; but it could also be that the DA isn't sold on the witness's story and they're asking other (if any) potential witnesses. But this is all just guesswork at not-much actual information, so take with a grain of salt.

BTW. My name is Brian

FWIW - there is a popular microbrewery in Lancaster, CA called Bravery Brewery. (One of it's co-founders was none other than the late R Lee Ermey.) I was in there last week and there was a customer who looked a lot like Steveson. It wasn't him, but the resemblance was quite remarkable.

Remain off the team? Martinez and Gable already completed their weight certifications, according to trackwrestling.
Great investigative finding. No surprise really, as your history is that you use that info more than most.

Somewhere in the world, I have a doppleganger too -- much to their chagrin having to look like me :);).

When I was a little bit younger, I got a lot of comments about how much I looked like David Caruso on CSI Miami. My wife even thought so.

I took a photo of the guy who looked like Steveson, but I don't think the photo gives as good an idea how much they look alike. I'll see if I can post it anyway.

My doppleganger is a rock star (who is not famous for his good looks, believe me). At least a dozen times when I was younger, people would confuse me for him and ask me for my autograph. At a kegger in an off-campus house in 1982, I heard a fine-looking young woman say, "Oh my God. That guy looks like George Thorogood." Now that I'm in my 50s and he's pushing 70, we don't look nearly as much alike, but that fine-looking young woman has kept me around nonetheless.

If I had that magical wish genie thing and had to pick who's guitar playing skills I'd most like to be transferred to my body? George Frickin Thorogood..
Yes, even over Jimmy Page;)
Played at Rec Hall back in 80's. Awesome.

Please, please, please tell us that you looked her in the eye and said, "That's right baby. I'm bad to the bone."
