This board has a few gentlemen that frequent HR to share in the high quality content that fine group of people provide, so I thought I might help out with a printable pocket sized actual meaning dictionary. Feel free to expand this. I hope it helps those who read HR to understand the real message.

1. "Sandunsky"- We can't compete with PSU in wrestling or rational discussions.

2. "Stalling"- All that is Holy yet something we would never do.

3. "Doing things right"- Losing to PSU

4. "Next Year"- Never

5. "Best Fans in Wrestling"- Missing several teethe and returning Busch Light cans to pay for Flo Subscription.

6."Trained through it"- suffered a butt kicking

7."Flo sucks"- Drink our Kool Aid or we will cry

8."Carl can't coach"- Tommy can't recruit

9. "Slush Fund"- PSU fans have jobs- can anything be less fair?

10. "Cheating"- Winning

11. "Dumbest Post I've ever read"- Truth hurts.

12. "Stupid"-Pretty close to factual

13. "Little Brother"- Established much earlier and produced our Messiah.

Great work guys. I will get those added on my official list. It seems a little long for a T-shirt, but I think at least a pocket sized reference card to hang near the computer could come in handy.

Just to be clear, I don't read HR. Any info I have on this subject is from people who are on HR (i've come to learn) and also post on here. I would assume that the vernacular from there translates to here.

When I lived in Iowa in the mid 80s Heilmann’s Old Style (dog style ) was 2.99 a 12 pack.
Wasn’t that bad actually.

That's pretty accurate. They're having an absolute meltdown right now because Flo said that Lee wasn't injured or sick.

Yeah because they dont have "any" sources in IC. Those tricky Cowboys fed them bad info knowing they would blow it up like a knitting group. silly

I know enough to know that Flo reports what they believe. Do people give them bad info, sure, but I believe they know how the game is played and vet their info.

Where there is smoke, there usually is fire.....underneath

Only Spencer and Tom know the truth. The Lee family has not been in the loop, and the doctors involved also have no idea whatsoever. Zero nurses, trainers, girlfriends, wives, team members, assistant coaches, best friends, custodians, or anyone else knows anything. Tom and Spencer are very tight lipped. I read that from a very good source who knows the whole truth yet can't possibly? Weird.

Spencer lost a match... Iowa isn't a good place for him. He should transfer!

Iowa loses a dual... Brands should be fired!

Iowa finishes 2-4th place.. Their program is falling apart and they should change everything they do!

If somethings just a little off or out of place it's like boom! To the message boards!

You realize that making your "observations" here only serves to perpetuate the things that you claim to dislike so much. Somebody is posting negatively about Iowa on a Penn State Board. Boom to BWI to complain about it.

Since HR appears to be the topic. Has anybody else read the Okie St vs Iowa thread and watched the match.
I read the thread prior to watching. Having read the thread I watched curious as to how much stalling occurred. Typical HR take on Iowa wrestling. The other guys do all the stalling while at the same time those other guys also initiate most of the offensive attacks and offensive scoring.

Oklahoma State flat out, outwrestled Iowa yet whine, whine, whine, heees stallllin, he was stallllin, whine, sniffle, boo-hoo.

Oh yeah. "Heeees staaallling" has to be a synonym for "Sam Stoll is wrestling".

I didn't watch the match, but from the HR thread, I was convinced the referee was Coach Smith's brother in law and was out doing everything he could to make sure the Pokes won.

The ref could have had a better day.
HR was correct in wanting Fix called for stalling for backing oob X 1, and I probably would have called Fix once while riding. However, Fix had a TD. I mean a plain as day, can't be much more obvious TD, that this ref could not get right even with a review. Fix outwrestle DeSanto by a decent margin.

HR wanted Weigel run off the mat for running Warner off of the mat. Weigel was called for stalling twice and was penalized for hands to the face. Two thirds of Warner's points were given him by the ref. He scored one point on his own.
Most of the time Weigel was chasing Warner as they went off the mat. There was no effort at all by Warner to stay on the mat. Stoll however, would blatantly drive a fighting to stay in bounds Derek White off the mat and I think there was one call.

I disagree about the Fix stalling in neutral. DeSanto was just tying up and pushing Fix to the edge of the mat. In my mind, that shouldn't earn points.

If pushing a guy out of bounds (while not actually trying to shoot) is worthy of points, than we should just have a FS-style out of bounds rule.

Didn’t Desanto try a shot at the edge, and Fix stepped out to avoid it? Seems pretty clear to me, but I also think fix had a TD.

There was one where Fix flat out conceded ground and retreated without a struggle or any effort to circle in. I like the intent of the rule and this single occurance was IMO a perfect example.
As far as just pushing and pushing. Flying Tiger alluded to it in a post the other day. Iowa obviously spends a ton of time working situational wrestling to score stalling points.

At least 2 of these things are being actively discussed/debated by Iowa fans....

Maybe it's just my overall issue with that part of the stalling rule.

I replied to Flying Tiger about this. I don't like these rules that basically award mat positioning. When someone shoots, the other guy is going to naturally move backwards. I think you should earn points because you take a guy down, not because you've managed to force that guy into a position on the mat where he can't practice "normal" defense against a takedown.

When DeSanto put his fist in the air, he had just pushed Fix off the mat. It wasn't off a shot. If that's how points are going to be scored, then just adopt the FS rule (maybe with a warning before a point is conceded).
