Huge kudos to the Oline last night

watching the game again and yes Saquon and Trace were huge but man the Oline was really stout last night. Especially kudos to Will Fries. Was going to be interesting to see how he handled the bright lights and he had a excellent game all night. Really outstanding game by them all. Bates and McGovern with Gonzo and Mahon all deserve big credit. Now time to regroup for Bosa and the gang this week. Won't be easy with crowd noise at the shoe as the OSU Dline will have the upper hand this week on hearing the snap count

Unsung heroes of the night, I give all of them credit for an excellent performance last night.

The old maxim when you don't hear about the O-line every thing is fine.
Absolutely right.

Snap count? Who uses a snap count any more?

I think a big part of it was Moorhead helping them out with play calling. Barkley in the wildcat created faster developing plays, and the slants ran by the receivers cut down on the time McSorley had to hold onto the ball.

There’s still a lot of room for improvement on the o-line. Looking forward to it moving forward.

OHIO STATE DEFENSIVE TACKLE MICHAEL HILL SET TO RETURN FROM SUSPENSION

Ohio State's defensive line just got a little deeper.

Fifth-year senior Michael Hill is set to return from suspension this week after missing the first six games of the 2017 season for undisclosed reasons.

Last season, Hill started opposite Jones at defensive tackle and finished the season with Honorable mention All-Big Ten honors by both the coaches and media.

The Buckeyes are also expecting to get fellow defensive tackle Dre'Mont Jones back this week. Jones suffered a leg injury that required stitches in the locker room prior to Ohio State's game against Rutgers and has missed the last two weeks. He was seen in a non-contact orange jersey following practice on Tuesday.

Schiano said the Buckeyes are taking a day-by-day approach with Jones as he recovered from the injury.

“So far, so good. We’ll see," Schiano said. "I don’t know what that means by the end of the week, but what we asked him to do today, he looked good so we’ll keep going, step by step.”

I really thought Gary was going to be a huge factor, but the job they did in him was outstanding.

I thought they would focus on Fries and adjust their scheme to have Gary and the rest singled up on Fries forcing PSU to chip but Fries really played well last night and is staring to look more and more comfortable. This weekend will be another big test. OSU is loaded at DE and will look to attack him most likely

Yeah I was really shocked Hurst and Gary didn't have huge games. I think the scheme helped some, but the online played great.

the first play of the game was a concern as it looked like Gary was going to be a dominant force. he blew up the RT 71 and hit McSorley on the pass to Johnson. other than a couple plays, Gary was largely invisible the rest of the night. it did look like he lined up more on our LT. the OL outperformed the expectations of most everyone.

Just my hunch, but I think the Penn State OL guys are tired of being considered a weak spot, and come out with an attitude, which translates into offensive production and touchdowns.
