PSU is on the power play and leads Robert Morris 4 -2 in the 3rd at the PPG in the 'Burgh.
PSU is rollin lately. The slow start to the season was a bit perplexing... nice to see them pick it up over the past month. It's a final. PSU 5 - RMU 2. They'll do it again tomorrow night at the Pegula. A rare home and home series.
FCL II, thanks for the update. Good stuff on Erlichman. We can't go tonight, but I'll take a rain check. It will be the first home game I've missed this year. Bring home a winner.@mn78psu83 Just got home from the game. Just by chance Erlichmann's Mom and Dad were sitting right in front of me (I sprung for the club seats, 7 rows behind the PSU bench). As you can imagine they were pretty excited. Erlichmann did not disappoint, making a save and keeping Morris off the board while he was in.
I'm coming up tomorrow afternoon for the rematch and post game meeting a well-known poster for a quick snort at Champs. Let's meet up at the 50-50 table first intermission and make a plan if you have time.
With the win (and other results, of course), PSU down to 15 from 13 in the Pairwise.
Currently 2nd in the B1G but one extra conference game played compared to a few other teams, PSU will likely drop to 3rd or 4th, I think, depending upon results today. OSU or Minnesota should jump from 3/4 to 2 tonight, but a OSU SOW would create a 3-way tie for 2nd (ND-Wisky results notwithstanding). Wisky let a 2-0 home lead over ND slip away and lost 3-2 last night. ND is now 9-0 in conference; barring a collapse, they may have the regular season championship sown up soon...
Kerr had just gotten back into the lineup too. They could use him on the power play. He really handles the puck well at the point and is often able to sneak up the slot for good shots on goal.Team has a ton of bumps and bruises right that guys are playing through and then items like Kerr’s wrist and Autio’s ankle. The layoff will definitely help team get healthier for second half of season.
