Teams can't opt out because it's money for the league....COVID was an exception.
If we lose another game we likely miss the playoff.

As long as Richie keeps defending him he will dominate every thread.
Why did he not take the same course of action here as was done on the test board? Take the position that if you don't like a poster's continued behavior, put them on ignore instead of making it pay. Make this one pay too.

PSU lost to the best team in college football by 7.
They had a lot of chances to win
I wouldn't feel great about our chances if we were 10-2 but it is tough to see scenarios where there are enough teams "better" that would push us out of a spot. It would have to be a perfect storm of enough 1 loss teams from non-SEC/Big Ten conferences and enough other 2 loss teams with better wins. Historically, 2 loss teams from the SEC or Big Ten - no matter their best win or worse loss - would get in based on final standings.
No one was mad about a 10-2 PSU being left out. Everyone was mad at B2G champion PSU being left out and OSU, who PSU beat, getting the bid. BIG difference.
The problem for PSU in 2016 was completely getting blown out - 49-10 - by Michigan and no 2-loss team ever made the 4-team Playoff. OSU only lost 1 game that year. OSU completely dominated the stats in the OSU-PSU game in 2016

I'm getting way ahead of myself, but should they go 10 - 2 and miss the playoffs, you can only imagine the level of opt outs for a potential second tier bowl game.

Exactly. It gets so annoying I've complained numerous times to no avail. I like to read all the threads but makes it near impossible as long as responses to his trolling are still posted. Everybody just put him on ignore or quit responding because moderators refuse to do their job. This would never happen in the wrestling forum.
I think things looked bad from the opening drive. Passes to Singleton and runs by Allar were all that worked. It was a bad sign that our RBs and WRs did nothing. I still had hope after the pick 6 but that evaporated quickly. We were lucky to get the fumble into the end zone to keep it close.
Lesser teams had success against our defense with screens and quick release passes. OSU had better players and was able to take advantage.
On offense we haven't had a WR step up all year and the only game we really ran the ball well was vs Illinois.
We should win out but it won't be easy. Minnesota on the road will be the toughest game. They dominated Illinois today.
Fine? PS is not a good team. If they make the playoffs, a first round beat down will occur.
I get the frustration but let's not pretend these teams other than Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon can't lose to us
OSU had its back against the wall in this one. Combined with their overall roster talent, it makes for a tough game no matter who they play.

Totally agree. Though I’m nervous about Minnesota .. we should beat all others but @ Minny scares me especially since they are on a roll and we likely will still be a top 10 Team heading into the game…

Ohio State.. Pre Season #1 and loaded with the best talent in College Football which all experts have shared.. is a very very good team.. they lose to Oregon by 1 in Eugene.. Ohio State is not losing another game and I firmly believe will totally expose Indiana..my bet at end of season before the Big 10 Championship game is that Oregon will be #1 and Ohio State #2 in the Country..4 Big10 teams will make the Playoffs.. a 1 loss PSU Team we are a given.. a 2 loss Team just gets a little more challenging..but we should be in though a back seed…
As frustrated as we all are with this loss. Franklin does beat the teams he needs to..OSU and Michigan have been his Achilles heal clearly..@Minny again scared me because they are playing so well.. really really hope we have another frenzied crowd next Saturday.. it will be a very important rebound win for this team.
To do this, more ACC losses are needed and Miami needs to win out. We did, however, catch two breaks today with the Big 12 now a virtual lock to only get one team in.
